Tire pressure gauge, free at most tire centers...The TPMS is usually off 4-5 psi.

You are right about the tire gauge but it would be nice to know what tire set off the sensor with out having to play a guessing game. And there are other things a scanner can tell you..

I don't know which scanner would read it, but EFI Live has a software and connector package for a laptop that is supposed to do about everything including resets, for $300. There are many scan tools out there for much less, but most are very limited in what they do. I'm buying a EFI Live. But, if you just want to find out where the TPMS light comes on, start the car and let air out of a tire until the light comes on, then measure the pressure with a gauge.

I bought a scanner from Advance auto Actron CP9180. It did not read the TPMS. Just looking for a tool has a few more bells to look at.

Just check each tire with the tire pressure gauge and see which one is off. The TPMS light usually goes off when a tire gets to +/- 10 psi of what it is supposed to be set at. By rule-of-thumb most tires on light trucks and SUV's are set to around 35 psi. You can also check the side of your driver's side door to see what the exact pressure recommended by the manufacturer is.

I am past manualing checking the pressure. I am just looking for a new gadget to read other data but would also like to read tire pressure. All I am asking is there a scan tool beside the tech ii that will read more info. I am not trying to sound rude. But most comments are basicly just check it your self with a tire gauge.
