Rough Country Lift

Has any body seen this lift from rough country, its an non torsion bar drop. I seen that there on sale for 1200 and was wondering if it was worth that or was it a piece of crap lift, they also have the regular for 1000. Or is it just better to save my money and go with a body lift? I really dont go off the road i just want to get 35's on my truck, or maybe just 33's with a body, i know you could probably go an 35 with an body also. I got an 06 reg. cab so i have electric fans but i have an 5spd and want to know how tricky it would be with that in the pic. Also would a body lift mess with the front hooks and the rear towing? I have seen pics were they are spacers from the hitch and the frame, and that looks like crap. For now i have 285 with the keys cranked and i just want alittle more higher than what it is now. Thanks for any help

So do you have the 3" body lift on the pic or just the 6" lift? A buddy of mine has the 3" body on a 00 gm its the z71 reg. And he told me to go with the suspension and he said that the rough country sat higher than a fabtech? I wouldnt figure there was much difference in two lifts to be like that but he said his body lift was close to the fabtech hight and he said that the guy had an 6" on it. Do you think it would be worth going with the non torsion drop?

i would just go with the 1000$ lift, i also have a body lift on my truck only because i like a little more clearance when i offroad, all lift kit vary a little on height due to torsoin bar setting, but all lifts are within specs for alignment

I have the non torsion bar drop kit on my 06 silverado (the $1200 one) i have no complaints about it so far. I wouldnt go with the cheaper one.. for 200 more dollars you get a ride that is MUCH smoother.

I just put the 7.5 rough country lift on my GMC 1500 this weekend. Looks great but I am having braking troubles. When I go to stop, my truck vibrates. The wheels are balanced and the alignment was done. Anybody else having this trouble, or do you now andy fixes for this

Did you remove the retainer clips on the rear axle when the new wheels were put on? If not, thats what is causing the vibration.

Not sure if he did or not. I will check that out. Any other ideas or do you think that will cure it. It only happens when I brake. Not while I am driving.

Its $1000 on Rough Country's web site AND ebay depending on what you prefer. I'm close to buying one myself, but not sure whether to go with the $1000 or $1200 kit.
