Looking For Better Shocks

Recommended Posts

I currently have Belltech Notro Drop shocks and I have to say I am not as happy as I would like to be. My truck is a 2005 regular cab short bed witha 2x4 drop. What are you guys using on your lowered trucks? I am also thinking of changing the springs in the front but don't know what to go with. Just about all the ones I have found so far are a minimum of a 1" drop. Since I have lowering spindles I don't really want to go much lower. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

I am in the same boat. I am 3-5 and have little tire rub issues in front and the rear rides like crap. I think it is the shocks or the bump stops. Did you install yours? And is the rear stop cut down? Mine is only cut 1/2" off the stop. I am sure it needs more removed as it hits the stops. but the shock my also not be in spec. So I will see what I can find.

I am lookin at a linked rear on airride. Realy not as much as you think!

Rub is the tire size. I can fix that!

I din't istall the setup unfortunately. I am very familliar with what is there though. The bump stops are either cut ir replaced with short ones and in the rear I have the Firestone ride rite air support on top of the springs. I can adjust the rear pretty good but it could use a better shock. The front could use alot of help. Between my tires 285/65-18 and the stock springs as well as the cheaper of the Belltech shocks it bounces on big bumps/ dips in the road and definately corners like a truck. I would like to improve that.
