Hear About The Stolen Race Car

Did anyone hear about the NASCAR stock car (ARCA or Busch) that was stolen in Vegas about six months ago. It was recovered in Calgary, Alberta last week after a race fan noticed it didn't really fit in with what is raced up here(CASCAR up here in Canada looks simular, but is very different under the body). Guess he asked some questions to the driver and found the driver didn't know anything about the car, so he called the cops. They found the car, valued at ?,000, the enclosed trailer, a few spare motors, lots of spare parts, and a ton of tools. Said total value was over half a million dollars. Appears this guy had been stealing stuff around here for the past three years, and the car and trailer in Vegas, to get a racing operation of his own going. He painted the car, stuck on a number and his name and went out "testing" at Calgary's Race City Speedway. Two things I wanna know. How do you get a stolen trailer full of stolen race car and stolen spare parts across the border without suspicion, and where did he think he was gonna race this thing? It won't fit into any of our classes in Canada, and it seems it would raise some suspicions if you pull out onto a NASCAR sanctioned track. Really pi**es me off when a car guy gets something vandilized or stolen. Hope Canada sends this guy back to the States where it's a serious crime, and he does some time. Up here, worst he'd get would be probably three years and he'll be out in one. Good things about this story were the racer gets his ride back, and the race fan got a reward from the sponser of ?,000 USD(that's close to million Canadian dollars)
