Gm Bug Deflector For 09 Silverado

I tried to install the GM tinted bug deflector today on my 09 Silverado but didn't get very far. The instructions are horrible. Does anyone know if there are better instructions available?

 

After looking at the instructions I am concerned I may have the wrong part. Does part 19170880 fit the 2009 Silverado? The part number on the instruction booklet is different than the part number on the deflector. The instruction booklet has part # 19158154.

 

I have emailed gmpartsdirect where I placed the order but thought I would post the same question here in case you can help me sooner.

I'm not sure on the part #, but installing a bug deflector should be pretty self explanatory.

I recently picked one of these up as well, SCA did you get your issue resolved? Because this is the first deflector that has got me stumped! For the life of me I can't figure out how the rivnut actually attaches to the vehicle. Still scratching head....

return the GM one and get the Lund one... it is made from lexsand and will last alot longer and wont shatter on impact of anything.
