My "new" Truck

Just picked up my new DD and work truck today. Im pretty happy with it. 1993 GMC Sierra K1500 Z-71. 5.7L Auto. Came with a spare 305(70k from 88 Firebird) and trans (65k from 94 Z-71 GM) new trans will go in within the next few weeks when I get some time. Current one slips if you tromp on it so I wanna get it taken care of before it becomes an actual issue. Current motor/trans have 208k on them and the motor runs like new. Just curious if I should buy a new torque converter for the spare tranny since the one that came with it is rusty. Opinions? PICS TOMORROW, I hope lol.

Update for pics, appearently the transmission is over-filled a decent bit with fluid. My buddy tells me this is just as bad as having low fluid and might be why my transmission slips if you tromp on it, its the only time it slips.

Looks good. Nice to see the Headlights and Turn Signal lights aren't all foggy like a lot of the ones around here!

Welcome to GM-Trucks!

Change the fluid, then try it, don't just drain some, give it a fresh change and I bet the slip might go away...

The previous owner actually put 2k into this truck before selling it. New lights, alternator, all fluids, oversize tires, exhaust. I cant remember what else.
