6 Speeds Transmission Only For 6.0l Motor+?

Hello,

 

The salesman told me he couldn't get a 6 speeds transmission with my 5.3L motor. Is it true or not? I can see the mention in the brochure of the silverado 2009 that the 4 speeds will be replaced by the 6 speeds during the year. I searched on the internet and I can see that this combination exist so far... What can I say to the salesman?

Depends on what model your getting,Right now all crew-cabs with the 5.3 have the 6-spd. tranny. Regular and extended-cabs still have the 4-spd.

Regular and extended-cabs with the 5.3 were suppose to have the 6-spd starting back in Jan. but that has since been pushed back to the 2010 model year.
