Did you guys read the statement that Texas Motor Speedway Officials made concerning Martinsville and how they couldn't believe Martinsville had any Cup races at all when they only have one ? After reading that I hope Texas never gets a second date and would prefer they lost the one they got. Short track is what it's all about now if we can only get N. Wilkesboro back on the schedule.

North Wilkesboro was always one of my favorite tracks, and I'm still disappointed that they took it off the schedule.  I have to say, winston cup was a lot better racing ten years ago. Back then I would do whatever I could to be near a tv showing the race (I watched a few races in Sears, actually).  I still enjoy watching the old races when they show them on ESPN2.  Can't quite put my finger on what has changed, but I think it's just a whole lot of little things.

I agree 100% something is different, getting to business like or something. Might also be the fact they are getting away from what made it what it is today and leaving short tracks for 1.5 mile superspeedways that all look like Charolette, might as well just race there every Sunday and save the teams a ton of cash.

I can name three things that makes me watch it less

 

1. no more Big E

2. stupid rules

3. unfair competition
