Changing Oil In My Front Diff Problem. 2004 Silverado

While changing my front diff oil 2004 crew cab Z71. I was pumping in the oil with a pump and the plastic tip came off the hose and into the housing. Have I made a terrible mistake or will the gears eat the plastic like nothing. Anyone can shed light on this?

It wont hurt but why did you pump out the oil there is a drain plug.

I would get it out of there. For peace of mind if nothing else. Gears are precision fit and do not like things getting in them.

Only way he will get it out is tear down the diff.

Why not flush it out? There is a drain. May take awhile, but I bet it would come out.

If it makes you feel any better I had the SAME EXACT thing happen to me in my 04 burb frt diff. Been over 2 years an Im sure that little plastic tip is long gone
