02 Sierra 1500 Won't Start. Any Input

Last night my 02 Sierra was running fine, it had been driven all day. no issues. I go to start it this afternoon, after sitting all night, and it won't start or turnover. The gauges are "limp", it's showing weak electrical, and I can hear the starter just faintley clicking. I hooked cables up to it and all four gauges would register their proper levels when I'd insert the key. when I'd go to turn the key, they'd all "die" and go back to reading nothing.

 

If anyone knows this issue, or has heard of it, lend me your input please.

Dead battery (near to dead)?

SOUNDS LIKE A DEAD CELL IN THE BATTERY

yeah sounds like a dead battery. make sure you check the battery post connections and make sure they are clean and tight

My battery died overnight once when I left a dome light on.

 

Had a friend with a Jimmy where the negative terminal was corroded/loose. Thought it was the starter, but all the electronics inside were dim/not working properly, faint buzzer noise for door-ajar. +1 on checking the connections there.
