Thinking Of Getting Another Diesel

hey guys im thinking of getting another diesel. I have a 08 reg cab z71 4x4 right now and im looking at a 05 crew cab short bed 4x4 DMAX. It has about 87k on it but looks like it was really taken care of. It has most of the options beside leather seats and auto climate. they are asking 19k for the truck. How many miles can you put on these duramaxs, also i know it has the allison tranny, but does any one have problems with them? Thanks for any input

With proper maintenance the Duramax would probably go forever. I am not all up to speed on the d-max, but I have not heard any problems from the LBZ/Allison.

+1, they are not even broken in until you hit 200k

does the 05 model have an injector issues or any thing i should look out for?

Late 05 to 06 are the best model years. An '05 shouldn't have injector issues.

i have a 06 2wheel drive crew cab 73,000 miles no problems it will get around 18mpg running 80mph on highway
