Today's race was good, BUT....

Tony Stewart definately jumped the last restart, I don't see how they could call it legal.

I thought the rest of the race was pretty good. And my main man (Martin ) gained a good bit in points. So it's all good.

I agree he jusmped the restart, several times, but what looked like about 75-100 yards that last time. I understand getting a good restart is a big advantage, but come on! They kept showing where they were "suppose" to restart, at the orange cone. I know Rusty was black flagged at Martinsville several years ago for restarting too early, as the leader. And I'm thinking that there was a couple others that had the same thing happen. Even he mentioned about where the restart area was "suppose" to be, but it was a disadvantage to the leader. LOL I guess he took it upon himself to make it better. On the other hand, Newman, Gordon, and PJ Jones should have known he would do it on that last restart, after doing it 2-3 times before.

Oh well, I really don't like Stewert too much, but I don't mind seeing him win either.

I'm not a Stewart fan!!!! I think he is a duech-bag, and absolutly jumped the restart for the final lap (much worse than he did before).

No doubt in my mind he needs therapy!!!

i was clapping my hands off when he jumped and he won

he deserved that win, and maybe nascar will fix somethings from now on

the red flag HAS TO GO you can't let one race end under caution and red flag another because you just feel like it.

the red flag wasn't as big of an issue in the past as it is now, and they need to get rid of it big time.

as for him jumping the gun... to bad that'll teach others like robby gordon to hang back all day to get a running go.

I think the red flags need to stay, and actually be a rule. Green/White/Checkered, like the trucks, actually.

He was still on the little short chute, before the last turn, when he took off! Maybe he forgot he wasn't in an Indy car now.

I think caution-ending races only robs the fans of the excitement and actual racing which they paid to see.

I agree guys, the red flag does allow for more exciting endings.

Stewart and others were cheating the restart during that race and Stewart was pretty blantant on that last restart, no doubt. If NASCAR does nothing on them, they have nobody to blame but themselves IMO.

sure the red flag has to stay for obvious reasons

but if someone is within 3 laps of winning and the caution falls I think they deserve to win

the cts rules might work out alright

Well here's my .02 on they whole race. After the week Stewart has had I was glad to see him when as were a lot of other people and I think thats why NASCAR didn't take his win away after they were all specifically warned about the restart. Which in a way is really kind of bullsh!t.

As for the red flags, You're right General they do make for a more exciting finish but why should the leader who has worked so hard the whole race to get and maintain have to restart with someone on his back bumper. Maybe if red flags were only brought out when nessasary maybe the race in it's self would be more exciting because the drivers won't be sure when the race will end. Maybe it will go the distance or maybe I won't have the last 3 laps to put my move on someone so I better do it now.

By the way, I can't tell you how bad I would have loved to see Rudd take out R. Gordan. Somebody needs to kick his arse for his actions in the entire race.

Robby said he was "tired of having the best car out there and not being able to get out front." Well if it's not the car I guess that leaves only one other factor huh Robby? (sniff sniff, tear)

I couldn't believe R. Gordons excuse for nearly taking out Rudd either. Rudd is one of few Ford drivers that I actually like. I can't wait to see Rudd take him out and use the same excuse. Seems funny how selective NASCAR is when assessing penalties for over-agressive driving. Look out Bristol!

I'm glad he hit Rudd. I don't like R. Gordon, but I'm sick of Rudd always crying that he gets hit, but not expecting to upset people when he hits them, and I'm sick of him crying about NASCAR catering to the young guns. If they were doing that Marlin wouldn't be in the points lead and Elliot wouldn't have won two weeks in a row. I used to like him, but now I think Rudd gets what he deserves.

I think the red flag needs to disappear completely, and never come back (when used at the end of races). Same thing for the green/white/checkered finish. If a race is scheduled for 500 miles, it should end at 500 miles even if it is under caution. Its a race, not a show that the outcome is determined by whenever Nascar wants to throw a red flag. I for one don't think the second place car deserves to be starting on the leaders bumper when they had no chance at catching them before the red flag.

If that's the case then do you also think that the field should never bunch back up when a caution flag falls? Do you think they should stay spread out just like they were when it happened?
