Need Help With A Factory Nav I Just Bought.everything Works But The Vo

Bought a factory GM Nav unit out of an 08 Avalanche(owner was putting $10K radio in) for my 09 silverado.Had theft lock on it when he tried to install in my Silvy.Went to my buddy at the dealer(Serv man.) to lock and reprogram and while it unlocked fine the Volume would not go down and just stayed at full.Tried to reprogram again and same results and the thing wouldn't turn off,even with the key out and Dr door open and shut.Reprogrammed back again,got it to shut off normally but still full volume.Everything else worked as it should including the steering wheel controls but not for the volume.

Anyone have any ideas?I have Bose in my truck so that shouldn't be an issue but we are all stumped.

There are two types of bose Spearker systems, One NON LUX, And LUX. Look In your glove box If you find the Code Y91 You have LUX bose spearkers, So that means you can only run a LUX Navagation. If You do not see Y91 you have NON LUX bose so that means you only run a NON LUX Navagation. Hope this helps

yup I didn't have the 91's so would that make this system useless to me or do I need to bypass it or just get different speakers?I have the Bose which is what I told I needed but is there more.I bet I could get all the speakers out of his truck as I bet for $10 k he upgraded them all.If not am I screwed?

The two Bose systems use the same speakers but have a different amp which is in your center console. I'll see if I can find you the link that tells you evry thing about nav. I'll get it to you by tonight

also how would this affect the radio not being able to be turned down?
