99 Silverado Passenger Power Seat Inoperative

Hey folks - looking for some direction from you.

 

Recently had the truck detailed inside. When I got it back, the passenger side power seats are not working. The lumbar works. The heated seats work. The driver side works fine across the board. It's just the 6-way passenger side. Whenever I try to adjust the seat - nothing happens; no clicks, no noise, nadda!!!

 

I've checked all of the fuses. The 50amp MBEC is fine - visually. I haven't tested anything on the meter yet.

 

I've read on the board about possibly the memory module but my heated seats are fine and the memory module seems mostly related to that issue. I have not checked the relay yet - did a cursory look and couldn't even find the panel for the relay.

 

I'm looking for suggestions and direction. Thanks for your input.

Assuming you checked *all* fuses...

(Might want to consult owners manual for the specific fuses for this.)

 

What I would do first, is with a flashlight, visually inspect any electrical connectors and wires under the passenger seat. Be sure they are plugged in snug and no wires are ripped out of the connectors.

 

If that looked ok, then I would get a small mirror and look under the seat with a flashlight and look for any other loose connectors, broken wires, etc.

 

(Things which could be knocked loose by vacuuming under there.)

 

Then if that all looked ok, then I would get a factory electrical manual, and check the wiring to the seat. Power, ground, and other wiring which would have to do with the seats working.

 

And if that was OK, then I would unbolt the seat and examine the wiring/connectors under it.

 

Or if not ok, trace the problem back to wherever the problem was.
