Power Window Failure

I had a left window fail in the down position the other day.I checked the 25 amp circuit breaker in I/P fuse panel under the dash and it was good. took off door panel checked motor and no power at motor. checked further back and found main fuse 50amp blown in fuse box under hood,great problem fixed,not! window worked for two days and now the same 50 amp fuse blown again? this 50 amp fuse only feeds 2 curcit breakers, seat controls 30amp and right window 25 amp.I was going to remove the circuit breaker going to seat control and see if it happens again to try and isolate the area.does anyone know how many amps window motor uses or how to test it,and why would the 50amp fuse blow before the 25 amp circuit breaker? anyway any ideas would sure be helpful. still in progress Roy

If the 50 is blowing but not the ones down stream, I would think that the issue would be short between the two fuses. Maybe a wire has been cut and is grounding to the frame or something like that? I don't know the system very well or how that is set up, but that would be my first place i'd look based on the situation you have described.

Thank you good idea, I tried tracing and looking at the wires as you said and found wires coming from the 50amp fuse had rubbed thru were I put my left foot under the I/P fuse block and when I was testing the 2 curcuit breakers and got some sparks.I have taped them for now and will see if that was the problem,looks like it may be it!
