I have a 01 gmc 1500 and it have a leveling kit on it. I know how to remove the back blocks, but just courious about the torsion bars. It has after market torsion bar lifter things on it. Just wondering. Do I completly remove those or just take them out and turn them.

Thanks, Mike

Just backing off the torsion bar bolts may lower it enough, depending on how much bolt you have left. Just don't loosen them too much. If you unscrew the bolt so much it comes out, and there is a load on the bars, you could get seriously injured. There's a lot of stress on those things, so be careful.

If backing the bolts off a few turns doesn't drop it enough, you may have to replace the aftermarket keys with factory ones.
