Mike On the side of the OEM projector, there is a plug for the same function. Tap into those. Heres a link to a Mini projector retrofit in a Sierra. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?62319-Retrofitted-2015-GMC-Sierra&highlight=sierra1 point

I had my truck at the dealership the other day for some warranty work and asked if there was some way to recalibrate mine. The service writer said he was pretty sure they could. When I went back to pick it up, he said they couldn't do it because GM can only recalibrate by entering in one of their "preselected factory spec'd sizes". They do not custom calibrate by height or circumference, only by plugging in an actual tire size...ex P275-55-20, into their calibration tool. I figure it was noted on my truck's service record, so now if I do it myself with the Hypertech Tool, I'm somewhat covered. If they say something about it later, I'll claim that I had to do it myself to have a legal speedometer and odometer.1 point

Agreed! Very nice! That's the way to do it! Take the pic before you leave the car wash lol haha...Wow that's actually not bad...lucky to last 6 minutes here...1 point

Thanks, Yup those are the stock gray accented 20" rims with standard 275 stock size tire. Extremely happy with bfg's new ko tire and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new set.1 point

I took delivery 2 weeks ago: Denali HD diesel, summit white, cocoa/dune, sunroof, off road suspension, trailering mirrors. Last week, based on research on the forum here, I changed out the OEM boards to Amp steps, added an RC 2" leveling kit, changed the tires to Toyo 295/60R20 Open Country AT II's, and added black WeatherTech floor liners. I think I'm done for a while. Love the truck. Sorry for the mediocre pictures - the weather has been frigid. I will post better pictures soon - the forecast looks good.1 point

Changed the oil, put air in the tires, refilled the washer fluid, drained the catch can, cleaned the windows, changed the blinker fluid, vacuumed the carpet, and changed the windshield wipers. Oh and replaced the oil filter. Probably should have greased something too.1 point

GM has some plans and is working with Apple and Google but it's almost a secret. Very little info and no assurance that what they do will work with 14 & 15's. After 14 months it's been a big disappointment to me. Nav is a joke, voice commands for phone function poor, slow response, etc. This system looked good in the showroom but falls way short in everyday use.1 point

It really makes no difference, it is the OCD in me that wants the connector, it is just a square housing to hold the spade connectors, of which you would have to get special spade connectors to use the GM connector as that part number only has one wire with one spade connector included. I just prefer the factory look is all.1 point

Installed Airaid kit for 6.2L. For those considering the full kit (202-111), the install is straight forward. I suggest installing the filter to the box coupler prior to installing the coupler to the box - you cannot get the filter installed if you wait until the end. Noise has a nice throat when the throttle opens. Noise while cruising isn't noticeable. Cannot comment on whether the supposed +/- 10hp exists since the truck is 5 days old (not near break in) and we're dealing with 420hp to start ? I was reluctant as many are with the open box concept as I like the sealed tops better, however it seals nicely to the hood and the new hoods seal better to boot. Overall, it's a classic, easy and enjoyable mod - happy so far.1 point

Ha - sorry...will get first thing in the morning. Dropping it off for tint and will snap a couple when I do so. The tires make the truck for sure. I did take one but it doesn't do it justice More tomorrow... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point
