  2. On the new body style, Intellibeam is activated/deactivated by pushing the button on the end of the blinker stalk. (instead of the 'troublesome' method in the video)
  3. The text I posted is cut and paste from the order guide -- so unless GM changes the programming, that's how it will be working.
  4. Just let your favorite servicing dealer know you have a 3.0 with the 'crank / no start' issue and they will apply the recently released update to correct this issue. Fwiw, there were a couple of other prior bulletins regarding hardware fixes, but they didn't correct the issue on all trucks. the software seems to have much better success.
  5. Truck is not loaded and is still running rear tire pressure at the placard pressure on the doorpost?
  6. Not sure if this is what is going on, but if cruise control is set, it tries to maintain set speed on the downgrades too. Same thing (downshift/high rpm) can happen with a 1500 gas truck and no trailer -- if the grade is long and steep enough. With cruise off, it will likely still add grade and/or exhaust braking if you use the brake pedal (which tells it the vehicle is running faster than you want) HD's, and especially the dmax, are all about load control. They 'coast' less than a 1/2 ton. And the 1/2 ton will 'coast' less than the passenger vehicles.
  7. I've run both 1500's (5.0's, 5.3's a 6.2 and now a 3.0) and several 2500's. (dmax's, not the 6.0, but other family members have run those) The job described in the first post suggests a 1500. Occasional towing of a 6x12 with atv's doesn't require a 2500.
  8. Like many of the newer gm paints it has a lot flake (it call it fine flack, but I guess that's subjective) and the amount of light changes it's appearance. Gotta get pretty close to 'see' the flake. (at least with my eyes) What are you painting?
  9. I've had TPMS set pressures changed, by the dealer, on a 2018 2500. diesel. I watched on the laptop screen as it was being done. It was a quick and simple task. Not sure if it is possible on a '21. At the time I had mine done the 'internet' was full of threads saying it couldn't be done; and/or posts about dealers saying they wouldn't do it for 'liability' reasons. Set pressure for the vehicle will depend on which tires it was 'born' with... so there has to be a way to change it. In '18 it was simple. As above, I don't know about '21. The revised 'set' pressures showed up on the phone app as the new 'recommended' pressure.
  10. Satin Steel Metallic G9K - RPO code WA-464C - touchup paint number Chev and GMC both call it Satin Steel Metallic
  11. Dealer would likely be happy to quote if you want comparables
  12. I hope you not saying that you've decided to pay msrp in the future... Lotsa posts around by owners that traded because the trade-in value was more than they paid. Looking at the order guide, they have once again made 'enhancements' to the list of items that are standard.
  13. There are currently in the 'future vehicles' section on the GM (US) website. They still don't have design/build pricing. https://www.gmc.com/future-vehicles/2022-sierra
  14. And now we have the fuel mileage graphic that can do that. Instantaneous and most recent 25 mile averages screen can be used for that. (when the 'metric' dash has miles selected for units it gives a 31 mile screen on these trucks)
  15. Not sure what your problem is. Nobody said the keyed tailgate was a multi-pro --- it's not. But a standard tailgate is available, and it eliminates the issue of breaking into the truck to use the tailgate button. (the issue that seeking possible solutions) Keyed tailgate is standard on some trims and available on some others.
  16. Did you consider a 3.0L 1500? I went from a 2018 2500 6.6L to a 2021 1500 3.0L. Doing the same job my 3.0 is getting a little more than 6 mpg better than the 6.6L did. (I log every tankful, and I'm surprised it's that much better too) '15 and '16 6.2 and 5.3 (both 8 speed) that I ran both got about 20 - 21. The 19.0 mpg over just under 30,000 miles vs 25.6 over 16,000 miles. None of these trucks were lifted/leveled, so the 1500's not as tall as the 2500.
  17. Standard on all refreshed 2022 1500's... T8Z NEW! Buckle to Drive, prevents vehicle from being shifted out of Park until driver seat belt is fastened; times out after 20 seconds and encourages seat belt use, can be turned on and off in Settings menu
  18. In GM 'marketing' lingo LD refers to the 1500 series and HD refers to the 2500/3500 series. In industry terms all these trucks are light duty. Medium duty classes start above 3500, and the with a heavy duty class above that. Each size is subject to different federal regulations. Licensing and registration at state/provincial level is often also dependent on 'class'
  19. Diesel too or just the GM 6 speed? My 5 and 6 speed allisons always seemed to run xy degrees over ambient.
  20. If it's like the earlier transmission it's because it doesn't all drain out. Fluid amount for a change is lower than fluid amount for an a complete rebuild. Torque converter, oil cooler, lines etc won't drain.
  21. Standard bed regular cab is included for both divisions -- in base trim only.
  22. Not sure why the sierra doesn't have the 'deletions' and 'changes' sections that the silverado has.
