  1. Info starts a little after the task light info. They are part of the 'cargo light' circuitry / logic. Auxiliary Cargo Mirror Lamps If equipped, cargo mirror lamps face rearward to provide more light on the sides of the vehicle, if needed. See Exterior Cargo Lamps pg 144. pg 144 Exterior Cargo Lamps The cargo lamps provide more light in the cargo area or on the sides of the vehicle, if needed. The lamps inside the pickup box, in the tailgate handle, for the hitch, and/or the cargo mirror lamps also turn on, if equipped. If the vehicle is in P (Park), R (Reverse), or N (Neutral) the Cargo Lamp Switch causes the lights to cycle through the following states for each button press: - Initial Press: - CHMSL/Cargo Bed Lights - On - Cargo Mirror Lights - On - Cargo Switch Indicator (if equipped) - On - Next Press: (if with in 5 seconds of the previous button press): - CHMSL/Cargo Bed Lights - On - Cargo Mirror Lights - Off - Cargo Switch Indicator (if equipped) - On - Next Press: - CHMSL/Cargo Bed Lights - Off - Cargo Mirror Lights - Off - Cargo Switch Indicator (if equipped) - Off So, there are 3 possible modes the Cargo Lights/Mirror backup lights can operate, (based on the number of button presses) All off Mirror lights off and CHMSL/Bed light on (and indicator in switch on) All on (and indicator in switch on) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cutting through the details, pushing the cargo light button once should get the truck out of the 'all on mode' and the mirror reverse LED's should be off.
  2. Task Lighting If equipped, task lighting projects light from the outside mirrors away from the vehicle. While the vehicle is parked, press to select one of the following options: . Left and Right Task Lights Illuminated . Left Task Light Illuminated . Right Task Light Illuminated . Left and Right Task Lights Off If the vehicle leaves a parked position, the lights will immediately turn off. If the vehicle is off, the lights will stay on for approximately 10 minutes all Task Lights. If any Task lights are on, and the button has not been pressed in approximately the last 5 seconds, then pressing it again will turn off all Task Lights.
  3. Mash it to the floor and it thinks its being asked for a downshift (electronic version of the days-gone-by 'shift-down linkage') If not wanting the wait for the downshift delay try ramping the pedal to 1/2-3/4 instead of mashing it to the floor. Diesels like the 3.0L have the powerband and MUCH lower rpm than the gassers. Makes it much less likely that downshifting will be required.
  4. The 'refreshed' '22's are supposed to start showing up the end of first quarter of 2022.

  6. Not saying the others are audiophile, but the IOR is the base 'radio'.
  7. Also might depend on the data plan on your phone. Phone could also be used to provide a hotspot to the truck -- just as phone can be used to provide a hotspot to a computer.

  9. One of the gotcha's is that these days there are MANY versions of Mobil1. (not just viscosity differences) Makes it easy to select the wrong Mobile1 product. Otoh, my dealer is telling me that Mobile is the current supplier of the ACDelco oils -- but I have no idea how they know that. I do know that at least some lubricants get packaged with labels from more than one brand.
  10. I'd just say it's missing -- not need to guess when/where it came off.
  11. Any update? Did they find a half hour to swap the module?
  12. Do you have paperwork/ screen image from where your order (GMAccessories) that shows what dealer they would have used? If so, call the dealer and ask for 'parts please' -- no need to tell phone operator the purpose and risk the call being sidetracked. If 'parts' gets you an answering machine, just leave name and number -- (or maybe just number...) Be polite. As the saying goes, 'you catch a lot more flies with honey than vinegar. You cam pretty much guarantee that whoever you are talking to is not the reason your parts are missing.
  13. Exhaust still has to be routed thru the turbo. Turbo has a single exit.
  14. You are correct. A little embarrassed I didn't follow that note as well. Thanks for checking. Sorry @belchfire

  16. Paying to get on a 'prospect customer' list.... Anybody got inside info on which cab/box/trim combos will be available first?
  17. It's not a safety feature against driving self over, since the double pull (or button) to unlock it doesn't care if it's in gear or not. Autolock might be considered a safety feature to prevent someone outside the vehicle opening a door when stopped or travelling slow. Double pull has been around since at least the '70's Easier than using the lock button/lever on a truck without power locks. FWIW, manual door locks are still standard on a reg cab work truck. (2022 1500 LTD version)
  18. Kinda my point....
  19. Funny how things change over time. I'm now a big fan of quiet and stealthy for my ride.
  20. It used to be possible to disable it on GM's -- but not anymore. This is from an '04 manual: Programmable Locking Feature The following is the list of available programming options: Mode 1: All doors lock when the transmission is shifted into gear. This is the mode that is pre-programmed in the factory for your vehicle for automatic transmission vehicles. Mode 2: All doors lock when the vehicle speed is greater than 8 mph (13 km/h). This is the mode that is pre-programmed in the factory for manual transmission vehicles. Mode 3: No automatic door locking. I checked a '10 manual, and by then the 'no automatic locking' option was gone. There were a bunch of 'auto unlock' options As fastk9dad pointed out -- to open door without shifting out of gear -- use unlock button OR double pull on door handle. Double pull gets frequent use on our vehicles.
  21. It'll be interesting to see how much of the $20k between Denali and Denali Ultimate is the supercruise and the massaging seats.
  22. Did you go back to the carwash and see if they have a collection of them?
  23. True, however I have no idea if it's on constraint for caddy, and being as this is a truck forum I did interpreted the complaint as regarding to truck advertising....
  24. Go by the info in the 3.0L supplement. (I'm not sure where you found the cj-4/ck-4 15w-40 info?) GM does have diesel supplement manuals for each of the 2.8L, 3.0L and 6.6L engines They used to have info for more than one in the same manual -- which made it easy to get info for the incorrect engine.. 3 current GM pickups with dmax engines, each with it's own engine oil specs. 2.8L -- Dexos2 5W-30 3.0L -- DexosD 0W-20 6.6L -- CJ-4 or CK-4 15W40
  25. There is pages of discussion about this in the HD section. (I'm not sure why the mods didn't move it to this section -- since the engine is not used in the HD pickups)
