  1. With 2000 miles on the truck -- use the warranty you paid for.
  2. Your situation is likely the G80 locking diff engaging.
  3. Yes there are options that may be cheaper than a honda...
  4. After the automotive industry killed a few people that left push button vehicles idling in there enclosed (and attached) garages....
  5. This isn't normal. Since the lm2 was introduced there have been several locations identified as potential exhaust leak locations. Get 'em to fix it.
  6. It's normal. Normal Sounds After Engine Shut-Off After the 3.0L diesel engine has been shut off, several sounds may be heard in the engine bay. These sounds may be caused by the following components performing a cleaning cycle: Turbocharger linkage (Fig. 9) Exhaust throttle valve Intake manifold swirl valve Fig. 9 The sounds are normal operating characteristics of the vehicle and do not impact the designed performance or reliability of the vehicle.
  7. Some of the roll-your-own types learn to steer with their knees. Others learn to roll with one hand. Just sayin'... Imho, Supercruise, because of limited mapped roads, is going to have limited numbers using it. Probably more will buy it, because they want to say there vehicle is loaded, or because it was packaged with other stuff they want - and then discover it can't be used on the roads they are on most often. We'll have to see how this all changes when Ultracruise is available. Like many here, I don't think either is for me. However, 'Those who say it can't be done need to get out of the way of those making it happen'. It's easy for us to throw out a list of obstacles -- but reality is most of those working on this stuff already made the same list (an likely longer lists with eve more issues) and are busy developing methods to overcome them.
  8. Should look up the worlds largest oil producers...
  9. No muffler, and the emissions stuff is in the engine compartment.
  10. Took about 25 minutes of 'other stuff' but they finally got to the intro in the live feed.
  11. Reveal at CES changed to being done remotely. But it is Jan 5, 2022 at 9amPT/12pmET Not sure what happens to link after they are done, but this is a link to the feed (as I type it is displaying a countdown timer...) https://www.gmexhibitzero.com/en-us Battery electric, as we know it today certainly isn't for everyone but there seems to be a market. Ford was planning to build something like 100,000 the first year -- and decided to cut-off pre-orders at 200,000 units. Out of near say 900,000 million ford trucks those are no where near 'replacing' internal combustion unit's, but even 100,000 is more than the annual sales of many car platforms Yes, pre-orders aren't sales. Yes, lots will be folks hoping to flip one. But it's still a lot of units. I'll be interesting to see how they perform in the market and how they are able to improve the range for those than can't work with the ranges we currently hear about.
  12. Thanks. Found it. Didn't know that was a thing with the mud terrains. Link says: Sport not available with mud terrain off-road tires Does not seem to include all terrains. So perhaps -- 'mud terrains' don't get sport mode -- 'all terrains' and 'all season' get sport mode ??
  13. 3.0 is already a straight pipe from engine compartment back...
  14. I don't see the 'sport mode' disclaimer in the 2021 OM. 2 speed transfer case is standard on AT4. Anyway my Denali behaves this way: When the dial is turned counterclockwise it goes into tow/haul mode. (and light the t/h icon in dic) When the dial is turned to clockwise it shows a list of normal, sport and off-road modes on the DIC When the dial is turned clockwise from - in 4wd or 4LO is defaults to off-road mode - in 2wd it defaults to sport mode When the mode list is displayed, additional turns clockwise will advance the 'mode' choice through the list of 3 . Manual suggests that if sport selected and truck detects it is not being driven in a 'spirited' manner it will return to normal shift programming. @sptsman79 - when you turn yours clockwise, it displays just 'normal' and 'off-road' (but not sport)?
  15. Maybe they didn't read the bulletin.
  16. Any chance you had a nav route running when you were scrolling thru the HUD pages? Tried mine today to verify. The screen that has displays nav info should have the arrow the nav is providing route guidnce. If nav is providing route info and the route is cancelled that arrow pops right back. HUD has 2 info groups. One only displays cruise info, speed info, and speed limit info -- stacked one above the other. (this is the one I watch 99.9% of the time) The other group fills a larger area. When active, it pushes the speed info to the right. One of of the pages available in this window is navigation info. If the truck nav is following a route, route info will be displayed. If no route is being displayed the window should switch to display of have the direction arrow. Somehow I messed up and didn't get/save the view when the route was cancelled (but nav portion did switch back to direction info) HUD with nav info display. Display I usually have up. cruise/speed/limit info only
  17. ECM/BCM manage the alternator and command it's output.
  18. From 2022 LTD Owners Manual To disable the inner tailgate from opening: ensure that the remote key is within 1 meter (3 ft) of the rear bumper and then hold the upper touchpad on the tailgate handle for three seconds. The tail lamps will flash to alert you that the inner gate has been disabled. The inner and outer tailgate can still be operated like a traditional tailgate, but the inner gate will not be able to be opened alone. To enable the inner tailgate function, hold the upper touchpad on the handle for 3 seconds until the tail lamps flash. The inner tailgate can now be opened separately from the outer tailgate.
  19. And a quick check at GM accessories shows Accessories has 3 fender flare versions. AFAIK, the 'factory order' (and associated pricing) only offered the smooth version (and yes they were dealer install) SF6 LPO, Body color wheel arch moldings, (dealer-installed) 1 - Requires exterior paint (GAN) Quicksilver Metallic, (GAZ) Summit White, (G1W) White Frost Tricot, (GJI) Dark Sky Metallic, (GSK) Cayenne Red Tintcoat or (GBA) Onyx Black. Not available with (PDH) GMC Interior Protection Package, LPO or (VQK) Front and Rear Molded Splash Guards, LPO. I think these are the coloured / smooth ones that can be factory ordered -- available in several colours. These are available in accessories Called 'rugged look' -- seem to be black only Rugged Look Fender Flare Set by EGR in Black - Associated Accessories Also by EGR, These are 'bolt on look'
