  1. QT6 Tailgate, gate function power up/down with power lock and release Silverado has QT6 available... I sometimes tow a trailer that has a trailer jack that does not fold down, and it tailgate is opened it will hit the jack. Fortunately, I can access the bed (without opening the cover) by opening the small section of the tailgate.
  2. Mines a '21 10 speed. Was born with 275/60R20SL's For winter its running on factory take-offs with aftermarket 275/65R18's Truck doesn't seem to care. All the electronic goodies seem to be working.
  3. Ordered both a 15 and 16. They GM included matts. It had been a few years since the last new one and everyone ws recommending the aftermarket liners. Both trucks had console, so separate front pieces. Now not sure which I tried first, but one got husky and the other got weather tech. Wasn't happy with either. Next truck was a 2018. Was convinced to try the GM liners. Not sure when gm stepped up their game, but based on trying those 3, the current truck is also GM liners.
  4. There a two ways it is done as a factory option for a bed camera. (depends on trim level) Lower trims the view is in the mirror, higher trims the view sows up on radio screen. UVO Bed View Camera, camera in the CHMSL to show a view of the cargo bed, display located in rearview mirror UVN Bed View Camera, camera in the CHMSL to show a view of the cargo bed, display located in infotainment screen, includes Two Trailer Camera Provisions
  5. I'm always amused by protecting the OEM covers so the next owner can enjoy them....
  6. After Supercruise (which only works on mapped highways) they are releasing 'Ultra Cruise'. Presumably there will be different/additional hardware. It's still expected to have situations where the driver needs to take over. Maybe someday there will be one that will let you sleep -- but sounds like UltraCruise isn't it either. https://plants.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/news.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2021/oct/1006-ultracruise.html GM Announces Ultra Cruise, Enabling True Hands-Free Driving Across 95 Percent of Driving Scenarios Ultra Cruise will ultimately enable door-to-door hands-free driving on all public paved roads in the U.S. and Canada 2021-10-06 Print Email Add This WARREN, Mich. – Today, General Motors unveiled Ultra Cruise, an all-new, advanced driver-assistance technology and significant next step in the company's journey to enable its goal of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion. Designed to ultimately enable hands-free driving in 95 percent of all driving scenarios, Ultra Cruise eventually can be used on every paved road in the U.S. and Canada. Ultra Cruise will cover more than 2 million miles of roads at launch in the United States and Canada, with the capacity to grow up to more than 3.4 million miles. Customers will be able to travel truly hands free with Ultra Cruise across nearly every road including city streets, subdivision streets and paved rural roads, in addition to highways. “Ultra Cruise is not just a game changer in terms of what it enables − a door-to-door hands-free driving experience − but a technological one as well," said Doug Parks, GM executive vice president of Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. “It's been developed completely in-house.” GM’s two hands-free advanced driver-assist systems will coexist in the company’s lineup with Super Cruise available on more mainstream vehicles and Ultra Cruise reserved for premium entries. “The combination of Ultra Cruise for premium offerings and Super Cruise for lower-cost products will enable us to offer driver-assist technology across price points and segments,” said Parks. System capabilities Ultra Cruise is powered by a 5-nanometer, scalable compute architecture future-proofed through the Ultifi software platform and Vehicle Intelligence Platform. Ultra Cruise can add features, functions and services over time through frequent over-the-air updates. Ultra Cruise builds on the capabilities of Super Cruise with new automated driving features intended to: Provide users with information based on their experience with the system through an all-new dynamic display React to permanent traffic control devices Follow internal navigation routes Maintain headway; follow speed limits Support automatic and on-demand lane change Support left and right-hand turns Support close object avoidance Support parking in residential driveways The system also features full 360-degree perception around the vehicle. Smart diagnostic and learning systems automatically identify scenarios where Ultra Cruise needs upgrading, triggering data recordings in vehicles equipped with the service. These recordings will then be processed through GM’s back office data ecosystem for continuous improvement of the system. Ultra Cruise components Ultra Cruise works through a combination of cameras, radars and LiDAR, developing accurate, 360-degree, three-dimensional statistical representations of the environment surrounding vehicles with redundancies in critical areas. Ultra Cruise also incorporates an integrated LiDAR behind the windshield. “We believe that the combination of different sensors, or sensor fusion, leads to the most robust hands-free driver-assist system for our customers,” said Parks. Human-Machine Interface (HMI) A key component of Ultra Cruise is its Human Machine Interface, through which the system presents information to the driver and communicates when they need to be in control of the vehicle. Building on the HMI currently used in Super Cruise, Ultra Cruise’s HMI also shows drivers that they and the system are seeing the same thing. The primary HMI in Ultra Cruise-equipped vehicles, the Ultra Cruise Dynamic Display, is a freeform display directly in the driver’s line of sight. It’s designed to help drivers stay focused on the road. Ultra Cruise’s HMI strategy also includes helping the driver to stay engaged behind the wheel, ready to take over if required. Super Cruise’s Driver Attention Camera system will be carried over to Ultra Cruise. GM is also developing an Ultra Cruise app that will be viewable in the center display of Ultra Cruise-equipped vehicles only when the vehicle is parked. The app will provide more centrally located information, including driver’s statistics, trips and history. Ultra Cruise will join GM’s lineup of hands-free advanced driver-assist systems on select models in 2023, with Cadillac being the first to introduce the technology. Always pay attention while driving and when using Ultra Cruise and Super Cruise. Do not use a hand-held device. For Super Cruise, visit cadillac.com/supercruise for compatible roads and full details. More details about Ultra Cruise will be available closer to launch. General Motors (NYSE:GM) is a global company focused on advancing an all-electric future that is inclusive and accessible to all. 7. Have you had the chips checked to see if they are suitable for having the chip repair process done? Seems many insurance policies have no deductible for this repair as it can prevent crack propagation and potentially of save them the cost of a replacement windshield. (and the vehicle owner the cost of the deductible on a windshield replacement)
  8. Thanks FarmerMaggot. Did you consider AT4? Doesn't look like it has that restriction.
  9. Good catch. I stand corrected. 10. Presumably you've ordered a 'refreshed' 2022 I'm curious what trim and option combo you've ordered that forced deletion of trailer mirrors and auto dimming review. I didn't encounter that issue ordering a 22 refresh sierra that has all those options.
  11. No matter what brand or source, new parts, including batteries can sometimes be bad or have early failure. Missed this post earlier. Glad to hear you got it sorted out.
  12. There are a few on other dmax sites that have installed the larger tanks on the 2020+ 2500/3500
  13. Well feed cats are more patient hunters.
  14. Have you found out what code is popping YOUR cel?
  15. 34,000 miles on a '21. Hasn't been sitting still much! Somebody updated to stay under the bumper to bumper. (yes, diesel powertrain is 5yr/100) If you are going to put the typical 12,000 per year on it, it will always be a 'high mileage' truck. Value it accordingly.
  16. To bad I didn't have another look at the 'order guides' thread before opening thread. I see others are posting about orders there..
  17. Anybody else put in an order? Dealers don't have pricing, so it will have to be one of those get it in and we'll see if we can make a deal things. It's also pretty hard for a dealer to guarantee a trade value in advance.
  18. Lawyers are the ones that make money from class actions. We are the ones that pay for it, when we buy the next one.
  19. Aren't the US speedos 140 dials rather than 200? (so that at 60 mph the US cluster would have the needle at the 12 o'clock position, same as a metric cluster does at 100 kph) Obviously the gauges that are painted cannot change their units, but the speedos can highlight the other (mph / kph) on the dial face and move the needle to the correct location. I've imported a us vehicle (not a gm pickup) and it had both sets of units painted on the dial -- US version of the vehicle the MPH font as larger, Cdn version of same vehicle the kph units were more prominent. But both would indicate the Trim level changes cluster too. Some of them show different numbers on oil pressure and coolant temp gauges, based on selected units. (Lots of vehicles just use low/high on those gauges anyway...) Tach, voltmeter and fuel level aren't impacted by units choice.
  20. Any chance it's a 'metric' unit truck? (both versions can be operated in 'inch' or 'metric' units, even though there are dic and speedo display differences) With the current exchange rates and market demands, many (most?) used ones from my area are sold into the US. I have no idea if that makes a difference in the code reader might pull up.
  21. Spec for 2022 crew 3500: std bed SRW - 80.87 long bed srw - 81.85 80.67 dually - 80.04
  22. I've gone to hauling motorcycles in an enclosed trailer. (I've hauled single street bikes in a bed -- but the last time was years ago) Wheel chocks make life much easier. (I suppose they could be mounted in a bed...) E-track on floor for tie down. (more versatile than rings) In the bed, 3 bikes side-by-side, handlebar interference might be an issue. I've seen pics of 3 in a bed, with centre one loaded backwards so it's bars were over the seats of the outside ones.
  23. We have done lots of travel across US and Canada. (48 states, all but one province; many of them multiple times / trips) Yes, multiple trips to both DV and RMNP. Etc, etc. Like many mountain routes, Trail Ridge Road gives a completely different experience in opposite directions, as well as in different seasons. My my observation has been that the highest passes generally have an elevation sign at the summit -- but many/most intermediate locations do not. I agree that it's likely that most don't care and/or have no use for such a feature. But some of us do.
  24. Similar story. Sorta. About 2005 I had a garmin that the screen could be configured to display altitude while displaying route (or just map) info. The 'replacement' garmin model had altitude info available but it was on a screen buried in the menus and could not be displayed while the map screen(s) were active. (both were marketed to the same customer group) Add me to the list of those that would like to be able to have altitude info displayed in a corner somewhere -- but not if it's buried somewhere. Looking it up on a phone app doesn't cut it for us. I get that lots live in locations with little elevation change and don't travel much and/or don't care. But the option to configure the display would be nice.
