  1. If you’re looking for another opinion, I would definitely buy it. It’s what you want and nearly new. If/when rates come down and your truck is beginning to get tired, then go new or new to you.
  2. I would like to go wider but don’t want to push it with a rim that is only 7.5” wide. Not a lot of choices at 275 70, not sure how a 285 would handle towing.
  3. Thanks!!! I really appreciate the replies. Love the truck, 2017 LT with the 6.0. Not crazy about the 245 width tires. Want to get something wider for the stock 17” rims but I don’t want to compromise towing.
  4. I was just changing the oil and noticed what appears to be a missing nut on the front differential. Can anyone confirm?
  5. I wished I had pushed the dealer to swap the tires before delivery, too late now. I have noticed more choices in 70 series tires. I want a quiet tire that will not kill mpg. I have been looking at Michelin Defenders in 285/70 17s. Do you think that size would provide a similar look or is 285/75 17 the way to go? I don't want to risk any rubbing or loose too much mpg.
  6. @ Big Wiskey Just curious, are you getting 17" black rims in the spring? I have the same truck in white, but I have the 245/75 17s on my truck right now. I have been looking at the tire size you chose, looks sooo much better with the bigger tires!!
  7. Took delivery of a 2017 2500 LT CC 6.0 standard bed that is replacing a 2014 1500 LT CC 5.3 short bed. I didn't realize how annoying the transmission really was in the 1500 until driving the 2500.
  8. I dropped off my truck for repair of the rusted frame and mentioned the letter regarding the thermostat. Picking up the truck today, frame is done. They also said they pressure tested the system and no leaks, so they aren't going to do anything else. I guess I'll keep an eye on it for now. Its a lease and I still haven't made up my mind if I should buy it or move on.
  9. Thanks!! So the thermostat is to be replaced on all trucks that have received letters, and if leaking the radiator as well? Am I reading that correctly?
  10. I see from your signature that you have a 15', so I guess this issue is not exclusive to the 14's as the letter implies.
  11. Has anyone gotten a letter from GM regarding cycling of the thermostat creating stress fractures in the radiator on 2014 5.3s and 6.3s? Anyone experience the issue? I love this truck but the number of recalls and TSBs is greater than anything I have owned before. First model year blues?
  12. 2014 leased 6/9/14 27K, recalls, seat movement and frame rust otherwise runs like a top.
  13. I just took a ride to the dealer and spoke to a service consultant, so much for waiting. He found a bulletin and has ordered the parts for the "fix". From this thread it doesn't seem to work, but its really starting to annoy me so I'm going to give it a shot. I also noticed that the front passenger bucket seat is not the same as the diver's side. Is that the case in everyone else's truck? Here is the drivers side and in infamous "bracket" : Passenger without the bracket : Why two different seats?
  14. Unfortunately, it looks like I too have the seat movement issue. I got the truck June 9th and have 2000 miles on her; build date 12/13. As others have noted, the movement is taking place at the white plastic "brackets". I just checked on the website: https://recalls.gm.com/#/ and a do not yet have the above recall. If the recall only addresses a poor weld issue I don't see how its going to fix my seats, since the issue is with the brackets as with many others on this thread. Its too bad my first post on this site has to be a negative one. Aside from several recalls and the seat issue I really love this truck and hope to have it for a very long time. I have not contacted the dealer yet as I am hoping to get more info on a fix from this site. I read this entire thread and do not see an definitive fix that can be completed by the dealer. I want them to fix it and fix it right.
