  1. Basically that is exactly what I was looking for was a video of others but had no luck in searching. I wanted to assume it was how the cluster is setup to do its check as well. Thank you!
  2. 2017 Colorado wt, 2.5L longbed, base level. When I do a startup and you get the indicator lights on the instrument panel light up briefly for a check. There is the "ldw" lane departure warning light that comes on briefly too(circled in red in the pic). This vehicle is not equipped with that feature. The owners manual say "if equipped, this light comes on briefly when starting the vehicle" So one would think it would not need to come on as it's not equipped. I'm looking into this because. 1, it's not equipped with it as there is no rpo code “UEU”, no camera on the windshield infront of the rear view mirror needed for this and no user button on the center stack. And 2, a previous dealer did a body module check of some sort. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

    Antenna Leak

  4. I am somewhat ok with the rust as most of it will be cosmetic, but it really bothers me when they promote it as the most corrosive free vehicle, I wish this was never advertised!!!
  5. Oh, and apparently GM has a TSB out for this, REALLY, what another JOKE!!. Do they really think they can resolve the entire chassis, NO WAY IN HELL THIS CAN BE DONE RIGHT with a tubed chassis or not removing the cab, drive line and tons of other components, etc. Just think about what is happening inside the tubed part of the chassis where you cant where water and salts will lay, add the oxygen and booyah you got lots of rust. Clearly shows GM engineers don't think, but they do got good slogans to think about and promote.
  6. Funny how all this could be happening when GM clearly states "Additional 2014 improvements over previous models include: Extensive and improved chassis corrosion protection that enhances the truck’s appearance and lengthens the life of underbody components" What a JOKE!!! Clearly says it on this GM link: http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/news.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2013/Sep/0905-silverado.html, check it out
  7. Is the fluid film softening the wax on your truck or not?? I would like to know because this is why I haven't put it on the wax. I have only been putting it bolts and nuts that need to be removed for maintenance, brake line ends/connections/bleeders, forged steel parts, tie rods, etc.
  8. Yeah, I would like to know if those are rust holes too. That's really concerning. What part of the frame is this, maybe a picture of it zoomed out.
  9. Basically all the crap about corrosion protection the GM is applying is a total bite in the ass for them. I wonder if they have any feeling of complete failure. I mean if you you post it publicly you better prove it, well its a little late for that. So pathetic, isn't it. Appanently they don't know what extensive means! Oh and they state "enhances the trucks appearance" LOL so hard that is hurts. These trucks already look 8 plus years old underneath. What a joke.
  10. Yes, I noticed that a couple days ago, they must have moved it. Here is a newer link: http://vitalysmobileautodiagnostics.com/front-seat-lateral-movement-andor-click-type-noise-while-driving-2015-gm-vehicles/ If this stops working, just sreach for" seat movement" on the main page.
  11. Bull, the dealers should be using PI1376 which was released 12-10-14. There is now way they can say this is not working, its too new. Other uses have said this worked for them. The dealers where doing something prior to the new PI release and I think it was just replacing the white pivot blocks and added new grease which didn't work for them. That is why many people used the hose clamps. Maybe the PI(preliminary release) is too preliminary for them or they are just being lazy and not checking the dealer network.
  12. Hi, I am curious if you have found out for sure where your leak is coming from. I have noticed that the 2015 models have a larger antenna as the 2014, may have something to do with the new onstar/wifi band??? So, I am wondering if these antennas leak as well.
  13. This is what I found regarding the dealer fix and seems to be really recent: http://vitalysmobileautodiagnostics.com/archives/6522. Seems like the black piece will do the trick(similar to what others are doing with the hose clamps). It also looks like you can put this piece on without taking the whole seat apart as well. It seems like they are taking the seat apart just to add the grease under the white pivot blocks. The other part, the white round shim washer is already on my truck from the factory. So I might just add the black part as preventative maintenance.
  14. Hello GM, but are we all going to have a stinky mildewed truck in a years time or will you decide to come out with an official fix for this and not a dealer patch with RTV?????? We are talking about ~$50k tuck and a ~$45 dallor part, really? I mean if it was designed correctly you can sell the part cheaper, R&D payback.
  15. I double what POS VETT said Check this thread out: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/158522-water-leak-in-the-roof/ I have been wondering if any 2015 would leak Have you noticed the leak after a freeze?
