  1. They definitely won't replace the entire bed. The outside skin can replaced. But the damage is minimal, I'd lean toward PDR as mentioned above.
  2. I installed a Borla S Type on my 24. I love it and have no drone, at highway speeds cruising you can barely hear it.
  3. Had the same issue multiple times. Dealer could not replicate, of course, so nothing was done. At least its documented for whatever thats worth.
  4. I had that issue develop on my 2024, and it ended up being a software update that corrected it.
  5. I notice this every so often with mine as well, 2024 6.6 with 10k miles. Doesn't alarm me as my two 5.3's before this did it too. I believe, as posted above, it's inevitable with the low idle on the trucks. It just feels like an occasional stumble at idle. No pattern and not really repeatable.
  6. I recently had the update done while in for State Inspection. The update did fix the crackling problem on Bluetooth calls.
  7. I got the same email yesterday and mine is going in next Wednesday for the update. The below pic is what I got from the dealership regarding the update...sorry for the size you will have to zoom to read it....
  8. I have nothing but good things to say about past experiences with Cognito Motorsports. That said, is what they are "fixing" really a problem? Moreover, the bulk of the kit cost is the UCA's which doesn't improve anything, it just replaces the stock arms. Are you having an issue that is pushing you in that direction? Or just a habitual modifier?
  9. Same problem here, started right after the update.
  10. A dealer with allocations can try to place your order. The system will kick back any current build restrictions. You can also attempt to reconfigure during that process to get the order through.
  11. I guess the other question is, will Union Drivers pick up the loads or will they unite with Rail Workers and refuse to move them?
  12. Possible? This is America, everything is possible. Adviseable? Meh, that's open to opinion. Before I got my 24, the dealer had a High Country they wanted to get rid of. It didn't have the multi-flex tailgate which was a no-go for me. They asked me, if they switch the tailgate would I buy? After they researched, I was told the wiring harness and at least one BCM from the factory will not recognize the change. Thats not to say it can't or won't work. But it's not a plug and play project.
  13. I wish Mythbusters was still on TV. I'd be curious to see if a 2500 ZR2 would go through the dealership wall in limp-mode.
  14. What we need is a crafty individual with a 3D printer to print up a plug for the hand hole. You could print some pins on the bottom to index it in the opening, then run a bead of silicone around the perimeter. This would eliminate the dumping on your shoe issue from just blocking the holes.
  15. 5500 miles on my 24 with 4500 of that towing about 5k with another 1k in the bed. Nothing but good things to say about this gasser/Trans combo.
  16. I think alot of what drives bigger wheels is bigger brakes. If you look at the rotor diameter on most new vehicles a 16" wheel wouldn't clear the rotor or caliper.
  17. I've had no issues on my 24 in the 5000 miles I've driven it.
  18. Dealership finance offices have two interest rates. The "buy rate" and the "sell rate" The buy rate is what the loan costs them from the financial institution. The sell rate is what they sell it to you for. So as mentioned above, they offer you a loan at 5% APR, the bank sold the dealership the loan @ 4.5%. So the dealership is now pocketing 1/2% interest on your purchase. If you decide to finance, ask them their buy rate on the loan. With the structure of auto loans nowadays, cash really doesn't matter.
  19. You can second guess until your blue in the face...at the end of the day you already own the truck. Hook up and go, see what you find out. It's not like you bought the trailer without a truck and have to make a decision on gas vs diesel. You have the perfect situation on your hands. Your current truck is safely capable, is it comfortable? That's the question...only you can answer that, not us knuckleheads on the internet.
  20. I do question the "Real World Testing" protocols these manufacturers utilize. It seems more and more stupid things make it through to the consumer. Insert any common issue here such as: brake controller, leaking rear window etc, etc....I'm sure they sort of run them through their paces, but how some of the widespread issues aren't mitigated astonishes me.
  21. Well I suppose if its marketed as a Grill Guard, it did in fact guard the grill......
  22. How many miles? My 24 had some quirks when it was brand new, and have seemed to work themselves out. Everything on new trucks is monitored and controlled electronically. Sometimes, they need datapoints to function optimally. Regarding your list: 1. Mine does that too, likely something normal with an ABS self check at startup. 2. That should be an easy dealer fix. Non issue on my 24 3. I get that rarely on a 2 to 1 downshift, typically at stop signs or quick stop/starts. I think the truck is anticipating your next move incorrectly. 4. No valuable input on this one 5. I think this was a one-off occurrence where you confused the transfer case mid-shift. If the problem resolved itself, I wouldnt worry about it.
  23. My brother and a buddy both bought 2024 Denali Ultimates with those wheels. I will say this, they look terrible in pictures. Real life, they look decent on the truck. I would expect something more attractive at that price point in all honesty.
  24. Long story short, original order for a Z71 Sport placed January 2022 for a 22MY, Chevy couldnt build due to restrictions. 2022 order got cancelled by GM and I re-ordered a 2023. Chevy couldnt build due to restrictions. Got frustrated and threw in the towel for a bit. Ordered a 2024 Z71 Sport on October 6, 2023, it showed up at the dealer 11/30 and I took delivery 12/7. The price increases sucked, but the new front end, 10speed and interior were worth the wait.
  25. My 2024 2500HD Silverado Gasser took about 2/3 of a quart, checked at 150 miles. My brothers 2024 Denali HD (2500) Dmax with max tow, 3500 rear axle took over a quart. My neighbors were looking at me like I was nuts crawling under a 3 day old truck with bottles of gear oil and a grease gun.
