I've just come to a sad realization. I'm using products designed for restoring classic cars that are decades old to clean up my one year old truck.....

I wouldn't spray that right over rust, it will hold in the moisture. First spray something like rust encapsulator on it and then this stuff. Ya Im aware its the same size, Im just wondering if it will look funny. Cant find any pictures of 2014+ with that size

Does anyone have a leveled sierra with 305/40r22's? I'm trying to decide if they will look too small. I'm thinking of some cooper zeon ltz's, but if they're too small I may go with 305/45r22 Dynapro ATM's.

Yup and they aren't even hard to take out once you realize where they are. Just use a socket extension. I've done it so many times now I can do it under 5 minutes.

It's pretty easy to remove. Start by laying a blanket or something down on the ground if you dont have someone to help you. It fell off when I did it and chipped my paint. 1. Remove one 7mm screw from fender 2. pull the fender liner out a bit 3. remove second 7mm screw thats facing toward the ground up inside the fender 4. pull on corner of plastic piece until it pops out (takes quite a bit of force) 5. lay under vehicle and use a flat screw driver to pop out the clips along the top of the bumper.

I'm out of bumper to bumper warranty. I don't think that tsb applies to emissions or drive train.

The wax was gone a long time ago on my truck. The entire frame is pretty much all orange. Rust encapsulator is supposed to wick moisture away from the rust, so I will probably put it on, then some black paint and then maybe something like the gm spray.

You're probably right, which is why I'm not holding my breath. I've ordered some rust encapsulator paint and plan on doing my frame sometime in the next couple weeks.

I'm guessing over time we will have a recall on our hands similar to toyotas. Most likely there was a flaw in the dipping process and the frame company will have to pay for new frames for our trucks. My 2005 tacoma didnt look as bad as my 1 year old sierra, but it did have a rust hole through the frame near the catalytic converter. Dana Corp. went out of business because of the loss from replacing all the second gen tacoma frames I was told. On the plus side my 10 year old truck got a brand new frame, lower control arms, ball joints, brake lines and hardware out of the deal. It looked like a new truck before I sold it.
