  1. This is an easy topic to argue about, unless you have had someone effected by it. Luckily I have not. Same thing goes for us fortunate to have kept our jobs and income while millions have not, numbers are just that, a number, unless it was a loved one, and then it really means something to you, whether it was death or losing their job. Science will find a band aid cure, till the next round, hopefully some of the money being funneled into helping the homeless, addicted to the flavor of the month drug, and the other BS that billions go to, will be directed to having a better plan in place for the next Panademic
  2. You are very welcome, sorry it was no help. Is your truck dirty, sensors in the bumper covered with dirt, ect….was it wet the day you had the tailgate down? Otherwise, you may have a bad sensor(s).
  3. Give it a shot, any money recovered at this point would be a good thing. Who knows, with everything going on, they may be nice and try to keep a customer.
  4. Right on board with that statement, in no way am I a religious man, but if that is what takes me out, then so be it. I have lived an interesting life to say the least, and am thankful for the time that I have had on this crazy planet, but know that I am just a blip on the radar in the big picture of things. I work for a food manufacturing company, our product is in no way ever an essential part of life, we are the ones who keep this ball a rolling, and just read a very interesting article about Brazil, and how they have treated this whole Pandemic, no matter what we do, there are going to be outside forces that we just can not control.
  5. The AFM system, or Active Fuel Management system, is used to limit the power of a GM 6-cylinder or 8-cylinder engine and help increase its fuel economy. The system itself is activated when the engine reaches certain perimeters, such as a cruising highway speed. In your case the engine will reduce down to 4 cylinders when all conditions are right. If you look at your DIC while driving, you will see a green V4 or a blue V8 in the bottom right hand corner. As far as the gas pedal, yes, there is a known flex problem where you need to "stand on it" at times to get the truck moving.
  6. You are very welcome. Nice "steak toss" by the way!!!
  7. Welcome to the site. In this case, I would have to side with the dealership, just because you can not legally warrant your work, and if they are involved in a failure (not saying that there will be) because of an improper installation, they would also become liable for damages. Is there any fine print on the paperwork stating that is has to be done by certain entities?
  8. Good to see you again Uncle Rico. Saw the ad for your ESPN 30 for 30 special this weekend, looks good!!!
  9. You are very welcome. Take some pics as you go along and post them. It will help the next one trying to solve this problem.
  10. Post some pictures, a fresh set of eyes might be able to see something you are not.
  11. No, just for the horn function, is what the other suggestion was.
  12. Awesome second picture!!! The Dukes of Hazzard would be very proud!!!
  13. Have they checked to see if the dipstick is in the correct position? Correct one for the truck? What does your OLM say for a percentage after they change the oil?
  14. Good to hear, like having a new truck again.
  15. Pretty sure they will say the battery is fine, I would replace it before the summer heat just to be safe. Not sure why that is always the dealerships response, the batteries are almost $200.00 for these trucks, looks like they would want to sell more of them.
  16. Are you still on your original battery?
  17. Sounds like you have good list of "Day 2" mods already lined up. Post pics, and ask questions, or provide answers as you go.
  18. Don't know if this will help current problem:
  19. You are very welcome. Any plans for the truck (mods)?
  20. Was it a kit, or did you make them yourself?
  21. Do you have an example picture of it installed on another truck? Maybe from their website?
