  1. Political? Really
  2. I believe we have broken into the low 6 figures or very close to 6 figures. I don't want to know right now.
  3. The problem is with ignorant people IMO. Italy has dealt with a lot of dumb people. Case in point. Got this news form a friend of ours yesterday. She's a bailiff in a district court. The court has been running on reduced staff allowing them to work from home. She can't. She learned yesterday that a co worker has been sick and coming to work. They did testing and will get the results tomorrow. This person could end up infecting quite a few people including the judges. They can't shut down the courts completely because you have the right to a speedy trail.
  4. TXGREEK, FYI I recently switched from Valvoline motorcycle oil for my ATV to Amsoil oil. Still using a standard oil filter. I decided to switch due to it's age, mountain trails with lots of steep grades, plowing snow and riding with 2 people putting more strain on the engine. I have used it twice since the switch to plow snow. The ATV seems a little quieter. It also idles smoother IMO or it's in my head. The test will be riding this summer. Now I still haven't convinced myself to switch my vehicles to Amsoil. Better than average oil and more frequent changes because I like clean oil works for me now.
  5. Our losses were lower because of the way our investments are managed. We had a meeting yesterday with our broker and this is the time to buy stock while its down. Wait it out.
  6. I agree with caution. But the panic has cost us a $30 K loss on investments. Just saying.
  7. I'm the guy driving the 12. No more ridiculous than the constant whiners.
  8. OK My 2 cents. This does not require the over reaction it is getting IMO. Closing public places, sports events etc. We take chances every time we get behind the wheel of our vehicles, go for surgery etc. etc. We always wash our hands as soon as we get home. We use the hand sanitizer's that are in a lot of places. If I listened to the crap the so called experts spew on a daily basis I might as well lay down and die. To panic to the point that it affects the economy is insane IMO. SHEEP!!
  9. I get being mad, frustrated because your new truck has issues. I was bashed in another thread because I made the comment the OP come on here to complain. Seems like a lot of this to me. Every point made here is valid but the whiners get old. If you're complaining without a solution, you're a whiner. Yes, the dealers can suck. A truck can have issues. I have purchased some things I regretted but I fixed it and moved on. OK, they weren't as expensive as a new truck but the point is I dealt with it and forgot it. There are still a lot of happy GM owners and I'm one of them. My used 12 Sierra runs good with no issues. If it develops an issue I will not come here to complain.
  10. No one knows if your truck has the latest software unless it is checked by a dealer IMO.
  11. Every thing we buy is a roll of the dice. Problem item or not.
  12. How often did you change the oil and filter? What oil and filter? Just curiuos? There are others with motor problems.
  13. I do severe duty fluid changes or sooner. 3 K mile OCI's. Cheap insurance when you keep them a long time. Do what makes you happy.
  14. Fluid changes are required for longevity. Simple concept.
  15. I think remote starting this way is a known issue. What's the advantage over using the fob?
  16. Not worrying. I will change oil more often. My oil usually doesn't start getting dirty until 1000 - 1500 miles.
  17. Oil gets dirty fast. Now at 437 miles on first oil and filter change. Is this due to a new motor breaking in and the oil gets dirty faster?
  18. There are many things that make a job well done. Ability. Caring. Pay, to name some. I'm sure we have all worked with people who do as little as possible do get by. The ones that try harder. The ones that care more. ETC. I have said before any repair on any item is only as good as the person doing the repair.
  19. Buy another brand and take your chances dealing with a different problem.
  20. My ability to maintain vehilces, equipment etc. came from seeing my dad and grandpa do it. It also came from a lack of funds.
  21. Grumpy, The owner of this company had 20 gas staions in the metro area and always was the cheapest gas around. The station I worked at was on a major intersection with a side street on one side. During rush hour the cars would line up down the side street. Thus the policy if asked check oil and wash windshield to save time. Also cash was king. Some people today would be lost making change. I got promoted to shift manager. My shift was afternoons, after school. I got gas at a discount price plus more hourly money than the other pump jocky's. We had 3 islands, so 3 pump jocky's on duty. The discounted gas price was nice because at that time I had a 1970 Nova SS. 350 small block that I had set up for 1/4 mile racing. 411 diff. gears. Motor work and custom 4 speed stick. 4 mpg.
