  1. True, but you'd think he woulda messaged me and said "hey we won't be able to get you that arm..." Got a refund, just have to send it back. He can have the damn thing. Since He gave me my money back, should I go easy on the feedback, or light into him for creating the mess in the first place?
  2. Dealers don't do as good a work as a body shop? I found one in town that has good reviews...thinking I'll go there. Should I take it apart or remove any components before handing it over to them, or will they know what to do? In truck news, ordered some black window trim to swap for the chrome trim on there. The chrome window sweeps just look like too much chrome. We'll see once they get here.
  3. Got my control arm on Wednesday. The box looked too small, so I got it out... The moron cut off the strut rod, which attaches the control arm to the subframe in the front. Kinda critical for proper handling. Gave him 2 days to reply to my inquiry, but no luck. Got eBay on the horn, so we'll see. If he doesn't send me a new, WHOLE arm, he is in for a hellacious review Some people.
  4. Got my new tailgate handle in the mail. Thanks to the forum I know the torque specs for the handle bolts Now to get it painted. Hoping that the dealer can do a nice job for double digit prices.
  5. Ordeded a tailgate handle for 'im. LET THE APPEARANCE MODIFICATIONS BEGIN!
  6. Sucks to hear that some of you guys are having issues with your trucks. I hope you can get your issues fixed, and if not, get a solution that works for you. 2015 6.2/8spd 9/15 build date 3,081 miles. I didn't drive slower than 55 on the 600 mile trip home, but I did not use cruise control. Accelerated and decelerated like a buffoon. Drive it like a 25 year old with a lead foot who bought it with the 6.2 being one of the big selling points Getting better about stopping, but occasionally have those THROW OUT THE ANCHOR WE STOPPIN' moments I FREAKING LOVE THIS BEAST! I've averaged high 22s on mixed highway and interstate driving 4 times. 4 cylinder mode is imperceptible (at least for me). The 6.2 is a freaking hoot to drive. Step on it and I get moving, STOMP on it and I'm in low earth orbit. And this transmission is NUTS! Glass smooth up through the gears. The only way I can tell it's shifting is by the pause in engine sound (knock on wood). It always seems to be in just the right gear. The grade braking is nice too. Kinda takes its time hehehe, but it works great and is just as smooth going down as it is going up (knock on more wood). No clunks (still knocking), no herky jerky stuff, no problems at all. Granted, if I'm coasting and I give the gas a short jab it will jolt forward (as if being awoken), but no clunks or anything. And any car I've done that in has done the same thing. I remember being worried about the AFM and the 8 speed when I was looking at getting one of these. In retrospect, I'm not sure why. This combination is kick butt.
  7. I ordered a control arm for my other car. WOOOOOOOOOT!!
  8. That is a brochure quality picture! Nice dude!
  9. Slow 6.0? Nice job on the door trim 66nova, makes that sharp white truck pop even more Detailed my interior. It looks nice. My little truck on my nave screen was doing loopy loops on the way to Wendy's tonight, and that was buggin me, so I polished the dash sensor for grins, the already clean windshield above it, and the sensor lookin thing on the back of the mirror with the microfiber cloth that came with the truck (WOW that thing is great!). Then I turned off the screen and drove east of town for a good 10 miles. Then I turned around, stopped on the road, and turned it back on. Fixed it! Then I went and got a Blizzard. Then I got gas. And that's the 5 year old version of what I did with my truck today.
  10. That is a nice truck. Those rims look sharp too. I detailed the interior Looks much better. Amazing what the ol' dihydrogen monoxide and microfiber cloth can do. Plus the water in my bucket didn't get nearly as dirty, seems like I should keep up the frequent detailings. Now if I can quit spending my pocket money on unnecessary stuff like food or cookware for my new place, I can go wash it.
  11. Naaaaah, that makes too much sense. Gotta have a massive casualty event before everybody wonders where things went wrong and they all clamor for sweeping regulations to fix it all.
  12. Take a rubber mallet and beat on the darn thing until 1) It starts working 2) you breaking, necessitating the need for a new part or 3)You run out of steam, relieving your frustration. Or maybe not. I have unnecessarily broken stuff in the past that way. HMMMM
  13. 2015 Silverado LTZ Z71 - DC Standard bed - 6.2 - 3.23 rear gears - Color is Blue Steel arms. Magnet tested. Like others have said, probably based on anticipated loads.
  14. GOOD GRIEF! That sucks for the guy in the Chevy...minding his own business and gets dive bombed by a dumbass in a Durango. What did I do with my truck today? I drove it Love driving it. The 6.2/8spd combo is excellent. Great ratios at all speeds, and that 6.2 RUNS! Only been driving im for a month and up to 2783 miles. Was at 624 when storage ended. Can't wait to get my first real paycheck...can start buying goodies
  15. Get my first real paycheck on thursday. One part for each vehicle....new tailgate handle for the truck, and a "new" (j yard) control arm for the car.
  16. Sweet! Readjusted it last night, and I think I had it set fine before, but it definitely is now Thanks dude!
  17. Haven't noticed any, but how high does it have to be to prevent sinking?
  18. I will definitely keep an eye on Sirius. I'm a cheap ass so that won't be hard Would a dealer be able to tell me the difference between two different part numbers for visually similar wheels?
  19. Ace has propane torches, not sure how that compares to Mapp Gas. Down to Casper and back again, this time to haul some stuff down. Got it all organized in my new pad Truck did well, 19 mpg even with the insane wind. Nothing blew out of the bed on the way down either! Glad I did 6 months of XM for 36 bucks...discovered the comedy channels. Made the trip even better
  20. LOL if it's not one thing, it's another. Glad the bolt saga has reached a happy conclusion
  21. Rock Auto is the bomb! Drove to Casper and back. Didn't do too bad, got 18.8 mpg round trip, and was plowing the wind for most of the way. The 6.2 is a hoot I get to use it for what I got it for on Thursday...hauling stuff My driver's seat would shift forward when stopping. Thanks to this site, I fixed that! Unfortunately, found that the chrome part of the front bumper is a little wacky, so I'll need to realign that. Shouldn't be too bad.
  22. You rock dude! Before my trip today, I adjusted it a bit higher to where I was comfortable, but it wasn't bottomed out like I had it. Son of a gun, the seat felt way firmer, and the rocking vanished! Thank you so much
  23. I think the problem discussed in this thread is that the bottom seat cushion is moving from left to right on turns. I think I have a slight movement light yours, where the seatback will move ever so slightly foward when stopping, and back after the vehicle stops. I think GM paid attention....when I was looking at the white clips on the bottom of the seat, I noticed, on my 9/15 truck anyway, metal pieces that are in the same place where other members are clamping next to the clips.
  24. Got mine out of storage. Man that thing is nice. And that 6.2 is illegally fun. SO glad I got that beast when I did.
