    I use the Range AFM delete on Interstate trips....................I'm leary of AFM to function much more than 100,000 miles effectively. And I don't like the idea of cylinders not firing/coasting along................as I believe the engine will wear in/out unevenly over time. That said; if I keep my speeds under 70mph on the Interstates, I can still pull 21-22+mpg (HAND CALCULATED FOR THE WHOLE TANK) in 100% V-8 mode. One trip running North on I-95 from FL thru GA thru SC; I pulled 22+mpg running 80+mph with a 10-15mph wind at my back............it's a rare occurrence that I have the wind at my back when traveling.............took advantage of it there!!!

    Mobile 1 0W-20 full synthetic with a Wix filter. Went with those because I'd gone to 3 auto putz stores before finding one that had BOTH the 0W-20 Dexos oil and the correct filter for my truck!!! I wasn't brand anal at the time.

    You get distributors/marketers on these forums that push/push/push the product and then essentially "belittle" those that voice an alternative product that is essentially equally as good.

    Just under 2800 miles on my 2016 now in just over 5 weeks.................................I can count the miles on ONE HAND that my truck has been in V4 mode. I use M5 exclusively around suburbia empty and towing my work trailer, as my speeds rarely exceed 50mph. I use the "Range" AFM delete device for long highway travels in order to use the 6th gear!!! The oil level on my dip stick hasn't changed at all since ownership. I added an Elite catch can though at less than 500 miles on the clock.

    No I don't, but my truck only has 2000 miles on it now. My '04.5 Dodge/Cummins made a sound like this and it had to do with the "phasing" of the pulses of the high pressure fuel pump and the pistons. It caused some minor gear lash sounds. To fix or lessen the sound you needed to pop the gear off the high pressure pump and rotate the engine in 30 degree increments until you found the "sweet spot". The pump gear was on a tapered shaft, not a keyed shaft, so you were not retiming anything, but re-arranging the pulses.
