  1. My warranty would be fine. Just like the warranty on my last truck that was tuned. When I took it to the dealer I reverted it to stock. Just re install the stock line and no sign of a catch can. People tend to freak out thinking gm tries to find a reason not to warranty. My 2018 was tuned and had a catch can. First they replaced my engine and exactly 1 year later they replaced my transmission. Never mentioned anything to me about aftermarket parts.
  2. I don't necessarily disagree. However with the amount you catch in the can. I feel more comfortable using a can. I'm not saying it won't burn it without a can but no doubt its a lot getting past the pcv line. With a can being so inexpensive. To me its definitely worth it. And one things for certain... it won't hurt to run a can
  3. Have been wanting fog lights since I bought the truck. Ended up ordering an iron cross bumper & a smittybilt 12k X20 comp winch and some aftermarket fog lights. I wired the fog lights directly to the low beam headlights so they are on all the time. Pretty damn good upgrade. I'm happy with it. I've ordered a 3 inch lift but its not here yet. Still waiting on my other clevis as well

  5. In and out refer to the catch can. So from the in on the picture to the in on the catch can. The other end of the pcv line is where you run the out from the can.
  6. Thanks for the info. Very interested
  7. A 4000lbs winch is what's on my 4 wheeler. It's literally a 4 wheeler winch. I feel your pain though. I was in your shoes and searched weeks for a hidden winch stockish bumper. However no suitable options. I ended up going with my first heavy duty after market bumper... iron cross. After installing it ... holy ****** is it cool. In the heart of that bumper lives a smittybilt X20 12k wireless remote. And I installed fog lights into it for 52 bucks. Wired them directly to the low beam so they stay on all the time .
  8. If any of you are interested in aftermarket air filters the K&N 33-5083 fits 6.6l L8t gas. It doesn't show it on the websites so I thought I'd let people know. This truck has a great cold air intake system. The only thing i have to find now is the airaid intake tube that will fit to replace that horrible box.
  9. I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone has created their own by now... as far as I know the only cai thats available now is the momentum that's mentioned above. I ordered it but its on back order for 10 weeks.
  10. My last truck i would empty the can when I changed the oil. Seemed to work pretty good
  11. Its oil. Super thin oil but oil nonetheless. That's pretty on par with my 5.3. So to me GM's oil separator didn't change anything. Makes me glad I installed one now though.
  12. This is after 300 miles or so of highway driving. So imagine pulling
  13. This is how you hook up a catch can on the 6.6l gas
  14. If you install a catch can you will see it. My 5.3 2016 and my 2018 both halfway filled the catch can with every oil change. I do believe you didn't find any but You will see it if you add a catch can. I guarantee you I'm about to catch some in my newly installed catch can in my 2020 6.6l gas even though GM says they have an oil separator. However if I'm wrong about my 6.6 I'll gladly take it off. Stay tuned
  15. Is this the pcv line? I believe it to be. But its totally different than the 5.3 I traded in. I pulled this line out and there is oil in it. I've installed the catch can I'm just trying to confirm this is the right line.. any help is appreciated.
  16. Is it this line ?
  17. My 2016 1500 has a drain plug in the rear diff cover.. I didn't expect that Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  18. I considered going this rout when my battery died. Instead I just replaced mine with a beast of a battery them mounted a 50. Cal ammo box to my second tray. It makes a great place to carry an extra gun or if I take mine off and need to lock it in the truck. Feels safer under the hood Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  19. Well actually I checked and I have the wrap premier warranty which is a bumper to bumper for 84 months or 125000 so I'm going to warranty it. It's covers all that shit Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  20. I know this is an old thread. My 2016 z71 is throwing this code. Would the injectors be covered under the drive train warranty? I'm at 40 k ? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  21. Started the truck today to go to work and engine light came on. Says " rough idle cold start" it was middle of the afternoon and 72 degrees ? It's a 2016 silverado with 37000 miles... any ideas about the rough idle ? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  22. Thank you guys! You have eased my mind.. god i love this forum! So many helpful people on here. Wished i could buy y'all a beer!!! Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  23. I live on muddy dirt roads.. i take excellent car of my truck, (2016) z71.. however i drove down the extremely muddy dirt today in 4wd. right before i got to the highway i received an important phone call and when i hit the highway i forgot to switch to 2wd. So i just drove 35 miles down the turnpike at 78 mph all the way to work. Pulling in the driveway on pavement making a sharp turn i felt the bind. I immediately stopped and shifted to 2wd. I mean everything seems fine but now im paranoid and freaking out because of the high speed and pavement... think i hurt anything??? I so disappointed in myself because i take such good car of my truck and i need it to last... ugh P.s. this was 4 hi not auto Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
