  1. For your case, the best thing to do for performance would be to regear to 4.10s and get a custom tune. Together, they’ll make the truck alot more driveable and responsive. Ditto on the e85, it added a nice bump in performance on my old 2015 4.3.
  2. I'll put my 00.02 here. I bought my truck last year and immediately noticed the radio reception was TERRIBLE. Static with 95% of the stations I listened. The only way I could stand it was by listening with iPhone plugged in playing spotify. Last week I dropped off my truck for a few warranty fixes, including an erratic issue with the screen going black. They did a few updates to the module and that was it. Since I've picked it up, my radio has been crystal clear with good reception. Finally I can listen to FM radio without getting pissed. I should also mention that my truck doesn't have the bose system.
  3. An uncle of mine who owns basically the same truck as you, with it being a 2016, said the same thing about the sluggishness. Last week, he had it custom tuned on a dyno for 93 octane and man it moves now. The tune will completely transform your truck no doubt.
  4. I might be wrong, but I think all 2014+ K2XXs have factory cruise control.
  5. I was at a dealer yesterday and noticed this gas pedal flex is still on the 2017s. GM should've done something by now.
  6. Thanks! Yea the stock wheels looked nice but I've since traded them for 20 inch Denali rims, which I'm probably gonna change again anyways. If this truck had the 5 speed that they still put in the trucks in Mexico then I would never sell or trade.
  7. Should've added a picture of mine.
  8. I'm just gonna add this: If anyone that drives a 4.3 with AFM and has the dreaded vibration/shake in V4 mode, either clamp or delete the exhaust valve. Doing this made the truck SO much smoother with the v4-v6-v4 transitions, and the shake is 95% gone. I haven't even noticed any drone with the valve open.
  9. Yea I know what you mean. I'm guessing the dealer added it to both our trucks before purchased. If it's just a simple stripe down the side it doesn't look bad, to me at least.
  10. Just curious if anyone has a pinstripe on their truck? With the exception of my truck and my dad's 2016 2500 duramax I've never seen another k2xx with a pinstripe.
  11. The fuel pump priming when you open the door is a new feature on the 2017s, probably to shorten the start times on the DI engines. As for the surging, I've seen some posts on people having to replace the torque converters on brand new 2017s because of that.
  12. I read on another forum that the shudder could be fixed by clamping open the flapper valve in the exhaust. My 4.3 has a slight but noticeable shudder in v4-v6, so I'll do it when I have time.
  13. Just out of curiousity, which dealer do you plan on going to? I'm in Tampa as well.
  14. Idk why but man does that gauge cluster look good in blue.
  15. I know this is a long shot but does anybody know a competent shop in the Tampa Bay area? I need to look into this.
  16. **** yea! Time to peg that speedometer till it breaks
  17. Does it shake at 141 mph?
  18. When I do my hand calculations per tank, it usually comes to be within 1-2 mpg, which is fairly accurate imo. Not sure why some of the others tend to be like 3-4 mpgs off.
  19. It boils down to how you drive and what type of truck you drive. Heavier tires and a level will decrease you mileage quite a bit when you have a v6. What did you average when the truck was stock? This is what I've averaged so far with mine. 70% highway driving and 30% stop and go city driving. Also mixed with some spirited driving (Single cab, 2WD, 3.23s, bone stock)
  20. Well TBH I do wish it was a V8. However the deal was right and I couldn't refuse it as a nice daily driver. Plus all the other single cab V8s in my area were either long bed work trucks or waaaay outta my price range. I'll upgrade to a V8 in a few years when the new 2018s/2019s roll out. But for now, I'll enjoy the 28mpg it gives me Nice ride BTW (not sarcasm)
  21. This is what I get on my normal commute, mostly highway - 2015 GMC Sierra 4.3l V6 Single Cab
  22. New member, long time lurker, but anyways here's my ride, picked it up last week with 50 miles: Its a leftover 2015 GMC Sierra SLE V6 Have some mods for it in store
