With those miles and that previous damage there is a good chance that truck has been beaten "like a rented mule". I would seriously consider countering their offer that the dealership either give you the extended warranty gratis, or you want to return the vehicle.

If terrain allows it's easiest to just back the rear wheels into a ditch, lower the tailgate, then drive/push it right in level. If you do use ramps the grates are of no real consequence and provide a better foothold when loading stuff in the rain.

Fuel economy is usually calculated by using the average of 6 tank fills, not cherry picking.

If fuel goes to $7.00+ a gallon I suspect vehicles like pick up trucks will be surprisingly inexpensive.

There should be no "or" in that statement just throw the factory speakers in the trash.

Extended warranties benefit other peeps, not you. If you can't afford the repairs needed on a high mileage vehicle keep looking.
