    High resistance more than likely the cause of melting/gooey.

    Instead of guessing, clean the engine entirely, then add uv dye to the oil so you can determine where the "leak" actually is.

    Have you tried moving the switch to the next position "up" for the "quick wipe" then back to the previous?

    PSA: Quick hammer tap will knock the locks through and their "In like Flynn". Don't keep anything in an unattended vehicle especially garage door openers and personal information.

    Sorry my bad, above "communication interface control module" CICM. Water intrusion at the antenna on the roof can corrode/damage the cable which can cause all kinds of issues.

    The only way to change is to probably turn the headlamps ""ON". There is a delay with the dash sensor at say dusk/dawn it takes the dash and switches a while to catch up.

    Agreed... silly to waste money on useless doodads, save up instead and pay cash for your next vehicle.

    It's probably already in the works... the genny will take of place of the current glove box in the dash, it will be a 2 cycle engine and the exhaust has the added benefit of defogging the windshield.
