  1. Yeah, mine was def the spoiler according to the tech who repaired it. On the opposite side not pictured, the headliner wasn't really wet but water was pouring down inside of the back glass. They went through it pretty thoroughly, and so far so good. Hoping it remains that way. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  2. Mine got replaced. I wasn't aware of the leak issue and noticed some lines in the headliner so I got it all cleaned, only for a week straight of rain to have me find this forum. The picture was the day before I brought it in for repair. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks! This clarifies it a bit. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Anyone that's had the window leak fixed under warranty via a dealer, have you noticed an interior rattle after the work was done? Apologies if this has been brought up. Tried searching the posts but no luck. Mine was repaired last week at a reputable dealer where I purchased the truck. Noticed this morning on my early coffee run with no music, etc a distinctive rattling on any little bump I hit that def wasn't there prior. I'm hoping it's my son's car seat and/or something he left in it, [emoji1787] 2019 LTZ 4x4, 6.2. For reference. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  5. I had a new muffler installed and removed the flappers. The tones(to me) aren't unbearable, just not ideal. I'm like you, though, trying to find an alternative way around. I've debated having one or both flappers reinstalled, and maybe removing the resonators. I haven't yet found anyone that's done this setup for a reference, though. 6. I was curious if you had done this as well? I did a muffler swap and removed the flappers, but I'm debating putting them back in. The drone isn't unbearable, just not ideal. I was also considering removing the resonators like you mentioned here as well when doing this. Figured it was worth a shot to see! Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  7. I agree here on both accounts. I've owned Ford and GM and been perfectly content with both. Each gave me their own headaches long term, but that's to be expected at some point with any vehicle. It's easier (for some reason) for people to go online and complain when things go wrong rather than offer praise for all the time something's fine.
  8. I'd just read something earlier about the sales, and now your post has me wondering who's right, [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Car and Driver has Ram in third with 563,676 and Chevrolet in second with 586,675. To me, it's not really relevant as a buyer so much as it just promotes a bragging right for die hard fanboys all over. I think the big 3 have pushed one another so much the last few years that we're all benefitting because of it. I almost bought a Ram Limited, but just couldn't pull the trigger and went with Chevy instead. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  9. I haven't run into the issue with the defrost on the sliding rear window, but my parking brake I noticed would set itself randomly here and there as I was walking away from the truck. I believe the manual says it will sometimes do a self test and automatically apply the parking brake at random. Something to that effect anyway. Anytime I've remote started it, I haven't yet found the brake to be set if I hadn't already done so prior. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  10. It's nice to see a change of pace on here, [emoji1787] Though we all appreciate people sharing their troubles for our own benefits at times, it always seems easier to share the negatives than the positives. Love the truck! I'm a fan of the color. I got a new to me '19 LTZ 4x4 with the 6.2/10spd in Satin Steel back in May. It had 19k miles at the time, and I'm only at 22.5k now since everything has halted with the current state of things. So far, so good! It had one hiccup with an ECM needing replacement after I got codes for the evap solenoid, but otherwise it's been good so far. Time will tell. I had an '09 5.3 with the first gen of the 6spd that I traded in. It had it's moments over the almost 12 years I owned it, but no truck will be perfect and problem free. Favorite thing so far.... probably the engine/trans combo. Anytime you put your foot in it, it's just an ear to ear grin, hahaha. And considering the power, I'm impressed with the mileage as well even though it wasn't necessarily a priority of mine. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  11. Very nice! I was insanely close to buying a 2019 Ram Limited several months ago, but went with a '19 LTZ with the 6.2 instead. What was it that pulled you away from the Ram if you don't mind me asking? Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  12. I've also got a '19 LTZ 4x4 and noticed similar issues. Mine tends to work, but the issue I have is the scroll wheel will tend to skip a screen or 2 because of some lag. Otherwise that's my only issue so far. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  13. I appreciate that! It's definitely a fun car. We got one with a 6spd and it's for sure my Sunday driver that gets babied. But, got some fall track days planned finally to stretch it's legs out and have some fun. I really wanted an older gen Z06 with the 7.0, but once we had a kiddo, the 2 door idea went away for now, haha. I agree on the cost vs benefit to the catback systems. Not much benefit other than sound really, but man....my '09 with the 5.3 that I upgraded from....when I put that exhaust on it over 11 years ago, I don't remember it costing anywhere near what these systems do today! Makes my wallet hurt at the thought, [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  14. That's my biggest thing I'm trying to avoid is the drone. I had an '09 with the 5.3 and a cat back exhaust that sounded great but droned like hell. I've read about some Flowmaster super 44 muffler swaps or even Flow FX that have little or no drone, but because it's all opinion based on the drone level, I haven't convinced myself to pull the trigger yet, [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  15. Congrats on the new ride! I've got a '19 variant with the 6.2 and 10spd combo, and I fully second what you say. These things have some pull for sure! Keep us up to date on the exhaust if you don't mind. I've been looking at a cheaper alternative with just a muffler swap and perhaps even a resonator delete. I don't want crazy, just some personality to it. Very interested in how your exhaust works out! Watching videos online only goes so far, ha. Kudos on the color, too! I've got a '16 SS sedan in a similar color, and it looks great on your truck! Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  16. I had a 2009 Silverado 1500 LT that I bought new in early 2009. It had a few minor issues, but in the 11 years I had it, nothing major. I meticulously maintained it, had just over 100k miles, and was very content with it. I bought a new to me '19 LTZ 4x4 back in may that had 19k miles on it. I cross shopped the new Rams for a long while, but I never could pull the trigger because of reliability concerns despite how smitten I was with their interior. Each brand has their issues it seems. Sometimes it's the luck of the draw I guess. I'm hopeful this truck is as reliable and worry free as my last GM. A thread like this is great I think. For example, my wife and I just recently ditched a 2017 Honda Pilot. We bought it because all we ever heard was how reliable they are, etc etc etc. It spent more time in the shop than our driveway and after 2.5 years we had enough, and we typically keep vehicles 8+ years. I was very disappointed. Anyway, all that to say, you'll find issues no matter where you go. Just seems to be what you're willing to deal with and take a chance on. Always do your part to maintain it and hopefully it'll return the favor! Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  17. I have a '19 LTZ 4x4 without the Z71 package. Currently averaging 18 city/highway mix. Best highway tank I've had so far on the sole trip I've taken(damn you, pandemic) which wasn't all that far, was 23.2mpg. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  18. I second this about the pressure washer. I also only use Chemical Guys products or equivalent, no longer use brushes, and only use several microfiber towels throughout the drying process. It's a little more tedious and time consuming, but the cost it saves later and how much better vehicles look in the long term is very much worth it. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  19. Not the best angle or "cool" setting by any means, but my 2019 LTZ 4x4 with the 6.2. Eventually I'll get around to getting a more fun angle, ha. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  20. Hey everyone, My wife and I recently bought a 2019 Silverado 1500, and we got a letter in the mail yesterday from Ally Financial saying that our request from them had been denied. I'm assuming the finance department had them as part of their search the day we purchased, but we ultimately went with a local credit union. Ally was never mentioned to us during this part of the process. No biggie. I know they usually shop several places for rates. Anyway...the issue...Ally claimed to have denied us because of the FICO score and subsequent reasoning for their said score on each of us. So, to elaborate... Ally's letter listed each of our Experian scores. We were both over 840. Our SageStream scores were each just over 700. SEVEN. HUNDRED. Their reasons were we didn't have enough credit cards, our oldest account was not old enough(over 12 years isn't long enough?), not enough trade transactions(whatever that is), and our area codes in our phones didn't match the one of our current address(seriously). Has anyone else gotten a similar letter from Ally? I'm not too concerned as our other scores were all fine. I've just never heard of this company before, and when you read online about them, it's all very similar. Scores that are even farther apart than ours were. Very interesting and almost shady, and depending on what you may be financing, if the company uses them for your score/report, it could make for an interesting time even if you have perfect credit. Just very curious what others experiences have been... Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  21. Nah, all good, sir. Amazon says the same thing for mine, but their(LasFit) YouTube video uses that model bulb and their website listed that same part number as well. You can double check their website for accuracy, but Amazon is for sure cheaper. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  22. These are the ones I'm about to order... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08295BDG1/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_VpK2EbJAA56VE Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  23. Depending what package you have, you could convert some of your lights to LED's. I've got the LTZ, so I'll be converting my front turn signals and reverse lamps to LED lights. The brand is LasFit, and seem to have good reviews. Turn signals and reverse lamps are about ~$60. Obviously if you have the High Country then I believe you're already all set, ha. Just food for thought. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
  24. I traded in my 2009 Silverado 1500 this past Friday for a new to me 2019 Silverado LTZ 4x4 with the 6.2, with 19k miles. I'd been looking for a while, and comparison shopped till I was blue in the face. I was sad to see my '09 go. It was a great truck that I bought new during GM's bailout and served me well, but it was time. So, here it is...I was ideally after the 5.3 simply because I didn't really "need" the 6.2, but no complaints here I assure you. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
