  1. Also discussed here prior to the release of the new 21s...
  2. Production started July 12, according to the large fleet management companies. Wouldn't surprise me that they'd build some Greenstone trucks for press/media/publicity purposes.
  3. Hmmm. Looks almost like a black/olive blend. Ram is also using olive, but a much more traditional shade. Not quite what I was expecting/hoping.
  4. Based on that definition posted, I don't know of anyone who has mistaken roof marker lights for a police-style light bar. The roof markers do not meet the definition of "extending the width of the roof, or a substantial portion thereof" - they're just 5 small lights. Nor is it a facsimile of a police-style light bar. No one mistakes them as a police-style light bar on a vehicle that requires them. If they're 100% legal on a dually that requires them, how are they illegal on a SRW truck?
  5. Has anyone seen a paint chip of Greenstone/Forest yet, or know when those chips will be available? Just curious to see what shade of green it is. An emerald or darker green metallic (black with green metallic flakes) would definitely appeal to me, but a brighter green would not.
  6. #2 - likely won't happen because there are still clueless people out there who will drive for miles with their turn signal on. #4 - completely agree. Same with the 2016 Traverse I have now... I never hit the wrong window switch with my 2005 Ram, but I am constantly opening the rear window instead of the front in the Trav.
  7. These links let you download the full order book or any segment within... Silverado 2500 https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/printbook.jsp?year=2022&regionID=1&lang=1&divisionID=1&vehicleID=22222 Silverado 3500 https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/printbook.jsp?year=2022&regionID=1&lang=1&divisionID=1&vehicleID=22224 Sierra 2500 https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/printbook.jsp?year=2022&regionID=1&lang=1&divisionID=1&vehicleID=22227 Sierra 3500 https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/printbook.jsp?year=2022&regionID=1&lang=1&divisionID=1&vehicleID=22229 (The forum software is incorrectly converting "& regionID" [no space between] to "®ionID" - you may have to correct that manually until I figure that out.) Only one new color... GHR Greenstone Metallic (Chevy)/Forest Metallic (GMC), available on all trim levels.
  8. Just for clarity... the Ram Laramie is not the equivalent of the Chevy LT - that would be the Ram Big Horn. The Ram Laramie is the same as the Chevy LTZ.
  9. DRW Silverados have one small exception to that. Duallies have LED taillights with signature lighting for all trim levels, but incandescent reverse lights for WT and LT, LED reverse lights for LTZ and HC.
  10. "Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf - the first 2 lines say it all... Get your motor runnin' Head out on the highway
  11. I would only doubt this because dedicated engine manufacturers like Cummins need to keep the lights on while they develop electric powertrains... Rams will still keep the Cummins I-6 for a while. And to compete, Ford will keep the Stroke and GM will keep the Max. Frankly, the best powertrain for HD pickups probably would be a diesel hybrid or a locomotive-style diesel electric generator system. Coast to coast on 2 tanks? I'll take it.
  12. In that case, I would suggest trying Ally (the former GM Financial). They offer a month-to-month service contract, so you keep it as long or as short as you think you need it. https://www.ally.com/learn/vehicle-service-contract/
  13. If you were offered Zurich, that's not the factory authorized extended contract anyway. The factory plan is from AMT, and is branded Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, or GMC Platinum Protection. Zurich is an insurance company offering an extended plan, but since they have no vested interest in the vehicle (same as other third-party providers), they have no incentive to cover a borderline repair - they won't make money that way. For the authorized GMC plan, see here: https://www.gmc.com/protection-plans
  14. I owned duallies for 24 years, with both steel and aluminum wheels. All I ever needed were regular valve cap extensions that could measure and fill air through the cap (like these: https://www.amazon.com/AUTOHAUX-Extension-Extender-Adapter-Plastic/dp/B07V3QQ6SY/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=valve+cap+extension&qid=1601320430&sr=8-18 ) and a dual head gauge (https://www.amazon.com/Milton-S-927-Dual-Truck-Gauge/dp/B000COS0R4/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=dual+head+tire+pressure+gauge&qid=1601320576&sr=8-7 ). Had no trouble measuring or filling the 4 rear tires with those.
  15. Hmmm... I did see it in an earlier edition, but it is missing from the current.
  16. For those of us who live in areas where low visibility is a regular occurrence, that's a safety issue. If the Silverado can have them as well as the Sierra, there's no reason why Tahoe/Suburban can't and Yukon/Yukon XL can. Yeah, it'll probably be easy enough to add fogs, but for a $50K+ vehicle, that's just shortsighted if it's solely for marketing reasons.
  17. Still not shown or listed in the order guides as of the August 21 update for the Tahoe and Suburban. I find this almost unfathomable that they somehow forgot to include fog lights for the Tahoe and Suburban - even as an option - when they're standard on Yukon, Yukon XL, and Escalade.
  18. The LM2 is listed in the order guide for the Yukon and Yukon XL as late availability.
  19. OEMs generally will only do special colors if you're going to buy 5+ vehicles in that color, or it's not worth their time to interrupt plant production to set the paint room for one vehicle and a non-standard color. Large fleet customers are sometimes given that single-vehicle privilege... there was a local landscaper where I grew up whose fleet of Ford trucks were painted a unique sea-foam green shade - the owner's truck (first a Bronco II, then an Explorer) were always the same color, and the Explorer was a Sport with the black trim and red stripe in the bodyside molding. Back in the day (80s and earlier), GM was willing to use any color in their palette if you were willing to pay and wait - they offered 300 colors including ten shades of white.
  20. Never owned a pickup without them... even my older F-150s had the factory units.
  21. These might be less expensive and faster to get... https://www.amazon.com/Aimoll-Emblems-Replacement-Silverado-Suburban/dp/B07SPBFBLZ/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=z71+badges+black&qid=1595384274&sr=8-3
  22. Definitely can not change the sticker - that's a violation of federal law. Only the manufacturer can change it, and only because there was a mistake on the first one. Changing suspension/axle components does not mean the manufacturer can assume liability for those new parts.... they are only liable for what they installed at the factory.
  23. Those are only for Sierra... OP has a Silverado. I haven't seen OEM accessory flares for Chevy.
  24. The most important thing to confirm with "lifetime" service contracts and maintenance contracts: are you limited to the selling dealer for that work to be covered? If so, that "lifetime" coverage isn't worth the paper it's printed on if you have a failure during a road trip. Or... are you required to pay and wait for reimbursement if you're not at the selling dealer? Most people don't have that kind of liquid funds if you need an engine or transmission replacement while on the road.
  25. There were complaints of (too) firm shifting, but the main issue with the Aisin was with torque management prior to 2019. Many people reported a dead-pedal effect when they hit the go pedal hard from a stop or very low speed. For 2019, FCA, Cummins, and Aisin worked to reel that in.
