  1. Shoot. Ill have to for the new pads to fit. I can pump it back up before reconnecting battery? Im doing the fronts for sure. The rears seem more difficult but my truck says they are at 58% whereas the front are at 18% so I can put that off for quite a while. I I wish there was a video on these new trucks. I have yet to find one for this truck to change all brakes and rotors. All of them are pre 2019.
  2. I always have but things are a little different on this 2019. Pins with clips holding on the front pads. I assume bolts holding on the caliper and bracket? I plan to also replace front rotors since they pulse a little when hot. The rears look familiar with the addition of an electical wire I have to deal with or maybe not if I just do the pads? I also read I need to disconnect battery for the whole process or risk it throwing codes and possibly going into limp mode. Do I have it about right? Any words of wisdom or encouragement? Times dictate I do it myself to save on cost. 2019 Siverado 72k. I can't complain about them lasting. I'll replace with GM parts.
  3. 30 years of using Mobile 1 with no problems only to find out today it's junk. Dang my experience. I better start using one of them boutique oils! Lol
  4. I would keep the one that tows the best.
  5. 2019 Just turned 70K. Thinking about plugs soon. Might not need them but I know it will run a hair crisper with them at this mileage. Ill wait 5K more.
  6. 2019 6.2 64k. No problems other than leaking oil coolant line. (Replaced)
  7. I have used Wix for about 30 years. Hand tighten then firm up with wrench. Whatever I'm doing it must be right because I've never had a problem.
  8. I've had mine two winters now. It's happened a few times where I had to pull it. Silicone spray has worked well for me. I'm more concerned with how to get it open if the power latch fails as there is no manual override.
  9. I like my oil at the top of the hash marks. My 6.2 takes approximately 8.3 quarts to get there but mid hash marks is probably perfect. Measured hot with enough time for oil to settle.
  10. I'm still of the opinion the oil monitoring system is ridiculous. Old dog, new tricks and all. In 40 years of driving I have never had an oil related issue. But I understand why some people use it.
  11. My dealer sold me an extended warranty AFTER I was past the mileage. Just used it to have leaking oil coolant lines replaced.
  12. Ill bet they exempt Harleys.............
  13. 67k on my 2019 6.2 and my oil line just starting leaking. Lower fitting just like the pics above.
  14. My 2019 did that once when chugging through deep snow two winters ago. I cleared it by shutting off the engine. Never happened again.
  15. I've had limited luck sealing the bed. Sometimes it's hard to install without affecting tailgate closure. In my experience you wil still get dust rolling down gravel roads. It can help and you have to also seal numerous other small openings and drain holes.
  16. Ive gotten all my seat covers through cabelas. But my price point may be lower than yours. I only use them to protect the seats when my buddies and I go on hunting trips. Otherwise I dont use them. They do seem to have all levels there and the last ones I bought are like neoprene and pretty nice.
  17. Say what?! My 2019 has never turned back on by itself. I have to lift the break or tap the gas. I too turn it off every time I start. Have I really had this truck that long and not sat with it off long enough for this even to happen?
  18. 2019 LTZ. 54K. No leaks.
  19. I have 4x4 for snow and ice. I rarely if ever engage it outside of winter. Sometimes on an iffy boat landing or to pull through a sugar sand two track. I have gone up some ungodly steep inclines before and 4L to coast down them. I have never tried mud. Partly because I don't want to get stuck and partly because I don't want mud on my truck!
  20. I have a 2019 Silverado with ventilated seats. They do not appear to have a removable filter like the cabin filter. Can they be cleaned after inhaling dirt and dog hair for years? I cannot find anything online about them. I can clearly see the intake under each seat.
  21. Thanks. Found them and the low pitch is broken. Unfortunately I had to order the set but they are only $20. $17 for shipping though. Ouch.
  22. My horn sounds weak after having the front end replaced because of a deer strike. Like there's one horn instead of two. Maybe I'm imagining it but before digging into it can someone tell me how many horns there are on these trucks?
  23. I got this two years ago for my 2019. Works perfect. https://www.fillernecksupply.com/2017-2019-silverado-sierra-pickup-dust-cover-for-capless-gas-cap/
  24. Repaired in 13 days. Looks like new. Kudos to the repair shop.
