  1. 2019 6.2 with 140k. Original battery. I will change it this year for sure. Waiting for a sign. The auto stop/start did stop working for a while recently then started working again. Hmmmm
  2. I really miss Catch All's for my truck. No longer available. I had been using them in all my vehicles for many years. I think they are superior because they are waterproof like rubber but carpeted which catches and holds liquid. They were perfect for melting snow. Rubber matts with a lot of liquid splashed over the sides.
  3. Can I top off the charge with a can from the store or must I take to dealer to improve the AC? Its not horrible and certainly not damaged but its not as cold as it used to be. Is there something else it could be?
  4. Doesn't use oil. I change it between 7k and 8k with an oil filter change and a fresh quart around 5k.
  5. Is there any advantage to changing over to 5W-30 on my 6.2 after a hundred thousand miles? Have ran recommended 0w-20 for 107k miles.
  6. 2019. It's frequent but I usually notice it WHILE driving and take my eyes off the road to cancel. Brilliant feature. The day is coming when we don't have total control of our vehicles.
  7. I almost went Amsoil. I did put it in both diffs. I used the correct oem fluid for the Tran. Sounds like I should do it again soon.
  8. 2019 with 96k on a 6.2 She's starting to get rough. 1st to 2nd is often harsh and it seems to feel somewhat disengaged when letting off the gas. You know the feeling. I had the pan dropped early this year, so filter change and however much fluid to refill. The engine is still potent as hell. Can they be serviced mechanicaly? Has anyone see one fail yet?
  9. It has been serviced. Filter and OEM fluid a while back. I suppose I should do it again soon. It ran noticeably smoother when I did for a while. 1st to 2nd can be a little clunky sometimes but Im not worried, yet.
  10. Thanks for all the replys! Good conversation. I do take care of my truck so reaching this mileage is a reward, I guess.. Ill get to most of those items prior to winter although Im still on the fence for a few. The "old" 6.2 is still fun to drive and doesnt seem like its changed at all from brand new. ALTHOUGH my magical 10-speed transmission is NOT as smooth as it once was and worrys me a little once in a while.
  11. Coming up on 100K and I want to make everything right. Wondering what is suggested. I already purchased plugs so that for sure. Thinking belt and coolant flush. All other fluids have been maintained. Maybe even tensioner pulley while its apart? Should I worry about coils, water pump, etc? I don't want to fix things that aren't broken but a buddy with Dodge did the coils and pump as preventative maint. I had never heard of that before. Thanks.
  12. Sounds like a stupid question. I buy most things online like everyone else BUT I when I seldom buy parts for my Silverado I usually go to the dealer down the road if I want guaranteed OEM parts. However, I know their plug prices are going to be wild so thought I would check here for any trusted sites to buy genuine plugs. I say genuine because Im not trying anything else after getting more than 90K miles of perfect performance out of the original set and still going. 2019 Silverado LTZ 6.2 Thanks!
  13. Add me to the list. 2019. Started leaking bad recently. Dealer charged $700 to repair. Not covered by extended warranty.
  14. 2019 I bought new. Just noticed the leak on passenger side back window. I can now see a slight water stain on headliner so its been doing it a while unnoticed. I can now see water trickle in after car wash. Made repair appt with dealer. They wouldnt say its covered until they look at it but I cant imagine its not. I still have to pay to have the topper taken off, stored then reinstalled. First time in my life a vehicle has leaked from the roof! Not unexpected thought given this post right from the beginning.
  15. Additional cooling wont help? What does the Additional cooling package that came on my truck do?
  16. Not really related but I didn't want to start a new post. I just changed fluid and filter on my 2019 10-speed at 85k miles and it seems so much smoother.
  17. Time for plugs. Any compelling reason one way or another whether or not I change wires with plugs the first time around? I was think just plugs this time.
  18. Im going to take a HUGE chance and run the same thing in both axles..... What mentally deficient group of designers at GM thought it would be cool to make them that close, BUT different!? Unbelievable. Front Axle – Four-Wheel Drive SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle Lubricant (GM Part No. 88900401, in Canada 89021678). Rear Axle (1500 Series) SAE 75W-85 Synthetic Axle Lubricant (GM Part No. 19300457, in Canada 19300458).
  19. My dealer wants $630 for trans fluid change in my 2019 10-speed. I am shocked. I will be shopping around.
  20. Another vote for Dee Zee. I've used them in 3 trucks including my current 2019 with factory spray in liner. Simple heavy rubber. You can throw anything on it. Easy to wash.
  21. I run Hankooks half the year and snow tires half the year. Best decision I ever made.
  22. I always change the first one under 1000.
  23. My 19 has been spot on. I trust it.
  24. Did it last night. Front pads only. The hardest part was disconnecting the brake pad sensor. And it was a ******. I ended up breaking it but luckily the pads came with a new one. Too bad there are no videos out there because it would save a lot of people from the hassle I went through. The pads themselves were simple. I opted not to change the rotors this time. My truck, my decision. And GM went through all the trouble of allowing pad change without removing the caliper. Why would they do that if they expected rotors to be changed every time with pads? The menu option to reset the brake life indicator will not work. Its there but not selectable. Stealership wants $100 to reset it with scan tool. LMAO! Its back to keeping an eye on them the old fashioned way which has never let me down. The new pads even have wear tabs and I CAN disable the pad monitor function. To sum it up the front pads are a breeze and I dont think you can get into any code trouble doing it BUT I did put my vehicle in brake service mode during the operation however I suspect that procedure is exclusively for servicing the back brakes. Ill find out some day.
  25. I keep getting emails from Chevy to upgrade the nav chip on my 2019 Silverado. $99. Is it worth the money? I dont use my map a lot. Road name here and there and lake names.
