  1. You didn't say if you ordered a Chevy or GMC but if it is a GMC with the Multi-Pro tailgate you may want to consider the B&W hitch made specifically for the drop down tailgate. https://www.bwtrailerhitches.com/product/multipro-tow-stow
  2. I dislike it as well. I was having several issues with it for the first week or so and took my complaint to the app store via a review. I got a quick response from the creator and the bugs I was experiencing are gone now. Still don't like the look and think the old one was so much better.
  3. The mileage while towing will probably be similar to what the 1500 got towing but for day-to-day driving you will notice a big difference. The tank on the 2500 is also much larger so expect the price at the pump to be a good bit more. I went from an '18 1/2 ton Sierra to 1 '20 2500HD Crew and then a '21 2500HD. I enjoy driving the larger truck more so I put up with the cost of the extra gas.
  4. I bought a 2020 Denali 2500HD in April. Traded the truck in in November will over 11k miles for an identical '21. My payment decreased and the dealer put the '20 on the lot for more than I paid for the '21. It sold in 2 days.
  5. I traded in a 2020 Denali gas for an identical 2021 Denali gas. I am a GM employee so I get employee pricing but the dealer priced my trade for more than I paid for the 21 and sold it withing a couple days. If you are looking for a 2022 you will be waiting another 7 months or so though and the market may change by then.
  6. On my truck you can program the door button to open the drivers door only or all doors. Its a safety option that some may want.
  7. Front and rear on both my 20 and 21 Denali crews. Can't understand why a High Country wouldn't have them.
  8. I have the BakFlip MX4 and it has been great. If I were to do it over I would look at the BakFlip Revolver X4. I like the clean look of it. The others ones you mentioned don't seem practical to me for regular use.
  9. Employee pricing is better than supplier pricing. As an employee I can extend my price to certain immediate family members with a limit of 6 per year. I can offer supplier pricing to friends one per month.
  10. I have had good luck walking into the dealers parts counter with a broken one. Not this particular clip but others and they have always had what I needed in stock.
  11. This is the dealership trying to move vehicles off the lot that they are paying finance fees on. They can do the same deal with an ordered vehicle if they want the sale. Dealers will discourage orders because they have to wait for the sale rather than closing now. One thing to keep in mind is how GM pays the dealership for a sale. They have targets that GM sets with incentives for meeting and exceeding it. If I buy from the lot I will do it the last 3-5 days of the month because they are trying to maximize that months numbers and if they are short they get generous with trade-in values and incentives. They do have money they can throw at a sale that isn't an advertised incentive.
  12. I had a 2020 2500HD Denali w/o wireless Carplay and now have a 2021 with it. I love it and have had zero issues. This should have been on the 20's when they launched the redesigned trucks.
  13. The dynamic of the window moving could be a major contributor to the flexing.
  14. I have had one on my last 5 trucks and none have leaked. I never used them though and I have always wondered if use contributes to the frame cracks that cause the leaks.
  15. there is no difference in price if you order vs. pick one off the lot. There could be incentives in play that change monthly that may affect what you pay in the end. Incentives could go up, down or remain unchanged. I have bought trucks both ways and usually I am happier when I order exactly what I want. Waiting is the hardest part.
  16. Not sure if this is what you are experiencing: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Silverado_2500/2020/tsbs/tsb-pie0584.shtml
  17. My 2020 had this same issue. Towed to the dealer who replaced the battery. Just prior to it happening on mine the screen would be blank if I used the remote starter. I see that GM has a software update now that is supposed to correct this issue.
  18. This. My 2020 had an issue with the computer and cameras from the day I drove it off the lot. Dealer planned to swap it out with one from another truck on the lot due to covid and GM being shut down. No go. They are tied to the Vin. Took almost 3 months to get the new part in. Ironically, when they put my truck back together the first time the issue cleared and never came back. Still replaced the unit though.
  19. So after my intermediate shaft was replaced on my 2020 Denali there was a very noticeable improvement but I could feel every road imperfection through the wheel. I had so many other issues with the truck that I traded it in on an identical 2021. The new truck is what I expect to feel through the wheel. Night and day. So I doubt there were any changes to the parts or processes but I do plan to reach out to people at the Flint plant to verify. What I expect is that sometime down the road this truck will experience the same issue. Hope not but not very optimistic.
  20. GM has really dropped the ball with the launch of the T1 HD platform. The bulk of the issues are around part failures at least and not the craftsmanship of the workforce. GM is building these trucks around the clock and its a struggle for suppliers to maintain the inventory levels needed for production let alone repair parts. My 2020 has had one problem after the next. New computer module, new brakes front and rear, steering shaft, leaking transfer case seal, replaced battery, misaligned from the factory and multiple electronics issues that are uncorrected. My dealer is working with me to get me out of it and into an identical '21. The problem I am having now is that the new truck arrived last Tuesday at the dealership along with several others that had already been sold but GM has yet to send them the MSO paperwork which is required for the sale and title. I got a text about an hour ago that they weren't in todays mail either. So the trucks sit there until the papers arrive.
  21. I am in Western New York and Flint is 4-5 hours away if you cut across Canada. My salesman was thinking at least another week and even as much as 3 weeks because of recent shipping delays. He called me 30 minutes before it came in to see if I wanted him to call and have the truck rushed in and I told him no. His records showed it loaded on a carrier trailer but still waiting to be picked up. I work for GM and had checked its status earlier in the morning and pretty much had similar info as to what he was saying.
  22. I got a call from my dealer today that my 2021 came in this morning. This was quite a shock as it was built last Thursday (11/5) and I expected it to be at least another week before it got here. They seem anxious to get my 2020 to put on their used lot as used truck sales are hot right now.
  23. I have the BakFlip MX4 and I really am happy with it. That being said, I think I if I did it over I would go with the Bak Revolver X4. I like the seamless look.
  24. My upper intermediate shaft was replaced 10 days ago and so far I am happy with it. My new truck is scheduled for production this week and hopefully I won't have this issue again.
