Coming from a guy who had the new truck. The K2 truck seats are far more comfortable, look better, ride better, all my K2's got better fuel economy. The only thing I can say the T1's have better is the 10 speed. That transmission is unbelievable!!! My 19 High Country rode like crap. Bounced around all the time in the rear end. I know the newer ones have adaptive ride control now....that might help. My step dad has a 2020 Denali and I feel driving it and mine back to back the transmission is the only real game changer. My 8 speed is night and day better with new TQ converter and fluid though.. I do like that the T1s can select the different driving modes. I'd keep it. Let the market go down. People can't keep surviving on these gas prices, grocery prices, high interest rates on vehicles and houses!!! The economy is hanging by a thread!! Also make the decision based on YOUR needs.....not from someone elses or to "keep up with the Jones'" Good luck with your decision.

I just bought the Hypertech Spectrum. Its a canned tuned, with ability to shut off AFM, adjust speedometer for 22 inch tires, run tune with 91 octane, and adjust TQ management. I have mine on performance mode right now. Eventually, I think I will get it professionally tuned along with the transmission.

I love it more than the door trim of the Denali. I'm not a fan of the wood grain trim.

I had the opportunity back in May to purchase down in Arkansas, a Centennial Edition with only 650 miles on it!! Some very old businessman bought it brand new and was going to keep it for his son. They got into an argument, split the company and he sold it back. It had a hard matching color fiberglass tonneau cover. I wanted the 6.2L and it had the 5.3L. Really love that truck color and interior door trim/instrument color combination. Really sharp looking truck! Glad yours has treated you well..

Dealer is going to be the most expensive option for sure! When I bought my 2018 back in June, one of the MAIN reasons I purchased the truck was because it had the TQ converter replaced. It had 37k on it, well taken care of by older gentlemen, and I just really love this body style. When I test drove it, it was night and day difference between this 2018 Denali and the 2018 SLT I had back in 2018. My dealership would never fix it, they just repeatedly re-flashed the tranny. It frustrated me so much that I traded it off. Regret it to this day.

I went 20% ceramic film on all my windows. I'm darker on the back then fronts. If you truly want to match you need to put around a 35% on the backs because the "dyed" glass in these newer trucks aren't very dark and don't really reject any heat or keep out harmful UV light like a great quality ceramic film does. I also put a 5% strip on the top of windshield.

You my friend might have the notorious '"Chevy Shake". I had a 2016 SLT Sierra and it got the shake at 3k miles and the Dealership had it for 6 months to try and correct it. They put a PECO-Sensor on the steering wheel to test for it. They tried new rims/tires. They checked the drive shaft. They brought up a technician from Texas to try and fix it. He did a better job than anyone around but I still felt it on my hand when I was driving. It was a subtle vibration that "basically" put my hand to sleep...went numb. Here's what I found out about it because it drove me bonkers paying on a truck that wasn't in my garage. GM ended up buying it back and I got a FULLY loaded SLT with 2 headrest DVDS for my kiddos. It was a 5.3L and 8 speed combo and I didn't have a single issue with that truck Rims and tires cured some trucks Drive shafts were a huge problem...many were unbalanced from factory, fixed many trucks Putting HD cab bushings on the 1500 trucks helped also, but that was very expensive fix because you had to lift the truck cab completely off the frame. Hopefully its just unbalanced tires or a messed up rim. Good luck.

I currently have 41,712 miles on my 2018 Denali as of yesterday. I am really enjoying this body style. If it had the 10 speed it would be one of the best trucks GM has produced since the 98 C/K truck I also am driving. It has 245,638 on it as of today driving to work. Original engine and transmission.

I got this on sale for around $225 from autoanything.com, regular $499. They had a sale going on I said what the heck. It does everything I want it to do except reprogram the transmission. It does allow you to set the transmission into sport or performance mode. Eventually I will take it to a performance shop and have them reprogram the whole truck, transmission in all with HP Tuners program.

Yes the Denali has more of a bronze/silver look and the SLT was all Silver. I had two 2018's. One was a fully loaded SLT. And now I have the Denali. The Bronze/Silver has grown on me. I just can't stand the wood grain door handle and console trim.

There are center cap covers also for the doors, but I kinda like the black covers for now, alittle contrast.

I added carbon fiber door handle covers and center console covers to the truck. I like the look and quality of them. Breaks up all the blackness of the doors and console area.

I have had two S&B cold air intakes in my 2018 SLT and 2019 High Country and bought the dry filter on each one. Never threw a code. Put over 40k on them. Took out every 10k and blew them out with air compressor. I will be purchasing another one for my 2018 denali

This is the MAIN reason when I bought my Denali last month that it was not an Ultimate Denali. I did not want the automatic running boards because they are known for burning up motors, especially in states with "bad" winters. I also like the fixed running boards because they help keep the sides of the truck from getting "debris/road rash"

This is exactly why I bought the extended warranty on my 2018 Denali. For all the electrical "garbage" they put into vehicles now. It could be a list of things. I would continue to us "spare" key for a while and see how everything performs. Unhooking the battery over night "could" reset some things on your truck and then reuse the "main" key to see if that helps/works?? I know it would cost money but have a "main" key scanned?? I'm just trying to throw some things your way, hopefully it was just a glitch...good luck.

Make sure you installed your MAF sensor the correct way. If it is backwards, this would cause the vehicle to stall. Also, if this is the case, you must unhook the battery and let it sit for around an hour before re-installing the correct way, then start up the truck. Hopefully that is all it is. That's a d@mn big screen! I'll be looking into this one as well. I was also thinking about just keeping my stock 8 inch and adding the bypass adapter to watch DVD's on that screen.

I totally agree with you! After having four K2 trucks and one T1. I went back to a 2018 Denali with a brand new TQ converter and fluid change, and I couldn't be more happier with it. The look of the K2 GMC trucks are AWESOME!! One of the best looking trucks GM has produced. Plus, they don't cost $70K or more!! Prices on new trucks are out of control and people are paying more on monthly truck payments than mortgage payments. Congrats on the build and fantastic looking truck!

Ordered the Hypertech Programmer for my 2018 6.2L. I had a discount come through my email and I purchased this canned tune for $234!!! Regular $499. I think auto anything messed up on the discount but I didn't mind it one bit. Will be able to get rid of AFM, speed limiter,and adjust tire size/speedometer for my 22s, along with a bump of about 20 hp/tq. I had this on my 2018 SLT and really liked it for what it is. I didn't want to do a custom tune yet, because I do have a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty and I can return it back to factory settings with this system. Plus for $30 difference between a range system that shuts off AFM. I think it's a no brainer. It comes in Friday.

Bought a lightly used 2018 Denali with 6.2L. Has a brand new TQ converter installed and the new correct transmission fluid. Added 5 year bumper to bumper for 100k. Really liking the magna ride and comfort of the K2 seats. I am planning on Corsa exhaust, CAI, and tuning it to get rid of the AFM, tire adjustment, and speedo limit. Also liking paying HALF of the price on a pre-certified truck compared to a brand new one.

One would think? If you still have warranty. Take it in and get it fixed. Be stern but be respectful and stand your ground! Too many people fold when told no or can't do it. If it states bumper to bumper and that's what you have. Ask them to fix it. These trucks gave gotten out of hand in terms in money. They need to hold up and last for a very long time for the price tags!
