  1. Sounds like a good opportunity to change it to a custom matte paint color or plastidip or something like that?
  2. Do you get a rumble when slowing to a stop between 10-15mph? Almost like a backpressure issue? I have the Touring and when coming to a stop I get a rumbling downshift or something that isn't pleasant because in addition to the rumble, it squeaks/squeals a little bit too. When taking it to L9 I don't get that so I'm pretty sure its the DFM. I don't get other odd exhaust sounds when in L9 at any RPM for that matter.
  3. The Pulsar seems to be my only option to disable DFM, really wish they were able to come out with the regular Range device for $200. I would buy one yesterday.
  4. I have the VIOFO A119 V3 hardwired into my passenger side glovebox. Works great.
  5. I made the below post on a different thread. They are ordering me a new one and frankly since it was on full rebate I may just sell it...or throw it out and go with one that sits on the rails... After waiting over a month on the Rev cover, I had it installed at the dealer today. It ended coming right off. As OP said the fit and finish on these are HORRIBLE. I'm glad I have it the once over before leaving because the tailgate didn't even meet up with the end of the cover. OK, lets just shimmy it back. Check the front...gaps galore...seemingly missing rubber? In the front, the flap doesn't sit flush in the corners and in the back, its not flush and there seems to be more rubber missing there. They are giving me all sorts of issues because I used the $1000 Truck Month incentive to order this, so they don't know how to "return" it. I'm not sure if I want to wait however long since they are still on backorder. The Bakflip MX4 looks great with the reinforced caps at the corners...
  6. I'm not sure I follow you? From my experience, it doesn't dim only when its dark...just the opposite. It senses when you are getting light from behind and dims. Therefore covering whatever sensor senses the light from behind should prevent dimming, no?
  7. Are you talking about the rearview mirror dimming or the sideview mirror dimming?
  8. In my couple weeks with the Borla Touring (GMPE equivalent) I haven't heard any drone. Only thing I've noticed is that when coming slowing to a stop at about 11-16 MPH I get a downshift that I can hear quite prominently through the exhaust. Usually its accompanied by a tiny squeal/chirp too which I find kind of annoying.
  9. Yes, here is the TSB. Take it to the dealer and have them re-program.

  11. This and your previous post, I don't think we're talking about the Rearview Camera/mirror. I'm guessing OP is talking about his sideview mirror as he mentioned tints, but posted a picture only of his rearview mirror. Unless his back glass is tinted in which he should be using the rearview camera in that case...which leads me to believe we're talking about the sideview mirror. Also the camera display doesn't auto dim when it's on. The auto dimming is only for when the regular mirror is engaged. Finally, I was talking about the mirror itself, not the DRZ/CWM functionality. Another case which I was confused on why he would have trouble seeing out the mirror, if he has the rear camera display...again leading me to believe we're still talking about sideview mirrors. That being said, I'm not sure where the sideview mirror dimming sensor is. I have a feeling there is a sensor on that mirror itself and it doesn't feed off of the rearview mirror's sensor. I looked at mine and couldn't determine, usually there is a little dot you can see under the glass.
  12. Last night I was trying to do some rough testing by covering up that part on the mirror with my thumb and it seemed to un-dim. Tough to tell 100% though while I was trying to drive. Slap a piece of electrical tape over this sensor and see if that works for you. Also, do they put these mirrors in all the LTZ's even if you don't have the Tech Package? You don't have the Reverse Camera Mirror....if you pull the tab towards you? I pretty much use the camera exclusively, its really nice.
  13. You have to leave it in L9.
  14. Not true. I have the Rear Camera Mirror and when the camera display is off, it auto-dims.
  15. I like these ones a lot. On my '17 Sierra All Terrain I have the 4" round black ones. They got kind of slippery in the rain and snow. These ones are wide and still classy looking on the LTZ. Wheel to wheel definitely helps in the front of the bed.
  16. I have been towing my travel trailer that is about 38' tongue to bumper and about 9100 LBS with my '17 Sierra 5.3L All Terrain. It is completely worth it to spend the money for a high quality weight distribution hitch that includes sway control (I have a 12000LB rated Husky Center Line TS). I've driven through storm, wind and rain just fine with hardly anything I'd call a white-knuckle experience. My personal experience might not match others. This year I purchased a 2021 Silverado LTZ 6.2L with Max Tow. It is more than capable of taking over the duties of towing the trailer for my use, which is not as often, like yours. I've seen these kinds of threads on truck forums and travel trailer forums alike. Everyone is going to have an opinion and it's usually pretty split. For 3-4 camping trips a year? I'd say no sweat at all.
  17. Here's the TSB for the issue. Take it to the dealer and have them reprogram it.
  18. 2021 SIlverado LTZ 6.2L Crew Cab Short Bed 4WD with the following add ons: LTZ Premium Package Technology Package Max Trailering 6" Chrome rectangular wheel to wheel assist steps Chevytec spray-on bedliner Front and rear Black molded splash guards Front and rear all-weather floor liners Hard Folding Tonneau by Rev MSRP - $63,960 GM Supplier Discount - $3600 Rebates - $4500 Paid - $55,860 + TTL
  19. I emailed Borla asking if they could confirm their current 2019-20 would work on the 2021's. I mean come on, nothing has changed, but they could not confirm. On the advice of @econometrics I went ahead and bought Borla part number 140771 (Touring) for my 2021 6.2 LTZ. Not a problem at all! Went with the Touring because I was just looking for a deeper note and growl without the bark of S-Type or ATAK. Plus I tow a travel trailer and that would not have been pleasant for extended trips.
  20. Which Tonneau is this one? Looks similar to the GM Accessories one I have on order.
  21. Since the part numbers for tonneau covers are the same for 20/21 on the GMC Accessories site, I think it's safe to say they will fit just fine.
  22. I pulled the trigger on the Borla Touring on Amazon after looking around. Mangaflow updated their cat-back website and now it says 2019-2021. So I’m a bit more confident that it will work out just fine.
  23. Sometimes you can get it through the company you work for, you can search that on the site. Or if you know someone who is a GM employee (or in my case the Son of a retiree) they can give you it too.
  24. I ordered and took delivery of my 2021 Silverado last month. IMO the best site to use is the https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/build-and-price/ website as I find the configurator the easiest. If you know someone to get you a Supplier authorization code, that is the price you pay, with the incentives of the month you take delivery applied. I've heard that if you don't use the Supplier you might be able to negotiate a bigger dealer discount, but it didn't work for me. No wiggle room with the supplier discount either, but I was satisfied with the price I was getting. No paperwork or deposit.
  25. 2021 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ, 6.2L, 10-Speed, LTZ Premium Package, Technology Package, Max Trailering. Ordered the wheel-to-wheel steps, Chevytec spray-on bedliner, and Chevy Front and rear all-weather floor liners. Currently waiting on the hard folding tonneau from Rev (GM Accessories). Replaced antenna with a stubby, and the front turn signals, reverse lights and license plate lights with LED. Tinted front to match rear. I'm in love with this truck.
