I hope the availability of toilet paper isn't like it was last year with bare shelves in the grocery store. I can manage having to walk everywhere, but doing it with a dirty butthole is not ideal.

Iirc, you'd just need the mirrors and wire harness. Dealership would need to do a reprogram. It's almost 2:30am, and I'm in bed, so I'm not going to look up the part numbers. However, do know that GM does make 1500s with tow mirrors from the factory. I have one sitting in my driveway. It has power adjust (upper only), heated mirrors, manual extend, manual fold, and led lighting (to the rear as opposed to the front).

If your truck isn't a crew cab, or doesn't have a center console you'll need a different part number. Best way to sort it out, imo, is go to accessories.chevrolet.com, enter your VIN, and look under Interior. I've tried posting pics, but apparently there's an issue with this site and at least 1 of the pics. It would be great if the admin could get this site fixed so I could use tapatalk again. It makes posting pics much easier.

Whatever works. Probably my jigsaw. Since the rails are made of aluminum I'm then going to a welder to have them weld in new pieces of aluminum to close up the openings I make and reinforce those areas. Looking into the weatherstripping/rubber foam that's on the under side of the rails and will be adding more where I have all this work done, too. As for rust prevention, fortunately these are made of aluminum, so not much will be needed to prevent rust, but I'm going to be painting or powder coating to clean up the look. Haven't decided on that part yet. As for concerns about smoothing out the rough parts of the cuts, you can use a dremel with the cylinder sand paper at a high speed to smooth the edges. You'll probably use a few of them, so make sure you have plenty.

My answer to your question is: 2020 Trail Boss LT and Samsung Note 9; No issues. I'm an idiot when it comes to technology, yet I managed to successfully fumble through connecting my phone via Bluetooth daily. Perhaps the problems you claim to be widespread are end user related. Not saying yours is, but you did claim there are a lot of issues.

The Retrax XR bed cover I ordered arrived today. Got it installed so I could mock up where I need to modify it so it works with the GM Accessories sportbar. Tonight concluded with removing the bed cover and disassembling it so I can start cutting first thing in the morning.

Ordered a Putco Blade tailgate light last week. I'm anticipating my parts guy to call today to let me know it's available for pickup. Also ordered both a Retrax One XR and the Embark LS by Advantage (via GM Accessories). Got the Retrax through Amazon. Hoping I'll be able to make the Retrax work with the sportbar. If after sizing it up I determine I can't modify it to work with my setup I'll just return it to Amazon. If it does work I'll just refuse to pickup the Embark bed cover from the dealer. This is going to be a bit of fun, imo.

The saga continues. I couldn't make up my mind on what to get, so I decided to get my hands on 2 of them. I bought the Embark LS from Advantage which is manufactured by Retrax, and a Retrax One XR. I'm hoping the XR will fit without much modification. If I can't make it work I'm going to return it (Amazon allows this). The Embark LS was purchased through GM Accessories. If the Retrax works I simply won't pick it up and get a refund of my money. If the Retrax doesn't work I'll have a plan B on hand, which I'm very confident will work.

Do the Valhalla Off Road MAPS panels interfere with the bed lights? It looks like they might get in the way. I'm considering these panels, but not 100% sold on them yet.

I'm a subscriber to Lite Brite Studios. Love what Kevin and Brittany produce. I followed the Gladiator build and saw the RTT setup. I'll look into that. Can't wait to see what they do with the Bronco.

For which parts?

There was a development on this today, and it's not all good news, but hope remains. The local dealer I was in contact with sat down and had a meeting. I may have said this previously above, but not sure (and not scrolling up), the Roll-N-Lock is a no go due to how it mounts at the same location the sportbar does. The Roll-N-Lock retractable cover is 100% out. Regarding Retrax, they said they could either cut the side rail so it fits around the sportbar mounting flanges, but have concerns it could affect the weight carrying capacity of the cover. They also discussed welding a flange into the Retrax side rails and drilling holes for the sportbar mounting bolts in order to not affect durability. The flame would be sandwiched between the truck bed side rail and the bottom of the sportbar. They didn't want to take on a project they weren't 100% comfortable with, and therefore said they won't do this. This effectively means they are out of the picture, but not the Retrax bed cover. While considering my options after the above mentioned phone call I remembered what the accessories consultant at the dealership I bought my truck from said when discussing tonneau covers that are compatible with the sportbar. She said there was a retractable cover that worked that GM offers. GM offers 2 brands. One is Roll-N-Lock. The other is Advantage. Hopefully the Advantage cover will work. GM Accessories is currently offering 20% off MSRP for online orders over $500 until June 1. That sounds like a sweet deal to me. Does anybody have the install instructions for the Advantage bed cover GM part number 19416971? If so, any help would be appreciated.

The same argument can be made about home security. If somebody wants in they'll find a way, but that doesn't stop people from taking protective measures their comfortable with, such as cameras and alarm systems. We all have a threshold to which we're comfortable with. Mine isn't with roll-up tonneau. If I'm willing to pay for front and rear cameras on my truck that detect bumps/vibrations like Tesla's sentry mode, then I'm likely also going to pay more for a tonneau cover to give me a peace of mind.

I'm originally from Utah, and would've loved to go on that adventure. Currently in California, so it's not a stretch. There is a video on YouTube of a guy that made his own hidden winch system with the OE front bumper on a T1xx. Iirc, it was done on a High Country. I'm considering starting with the Rough Country hidden winch setup for the 14-18 trucks, and modifying it to work. I have a neighbor with a 2018 Sierra that'll let me look at his truck. We'll see what happen. Really looking hard at the tonneau covers and RTTs right now to find the right setup.
