I use the button on the dash to open my tailgate and let it fall open slowly using the dampening system that bushing is part of. If GM didn't want it used that way they shouldn't have designed it that way. With baseball in full swing right now I do have the tailgate open at least twice per day everyday (2 kids and baseball has me running to baseball practices and games 7 days a week most days. Sometimes I'll watch while sitting on my tailgate. However, I usually sit in a chair in my truck bed. This is due to COVID social distancing requirements (and inability to eat sunflower seeds if I sit in the stands). I don't jump up and plop my arse onto the tailgate. I have a Samsung Note 9 and ran into a similar issue with my case. Can't charge it, but it's because my case is too wide. My phone won't sit flat in the charging cradle. Did you check to make sure the negative cable for the starter was still connected to the negative terminal of the battery? It may have dropper under or next to the battery between the battery and firewall under the windshield if you messed with that terminal. It happened to me once, and I didn't realize it. New app seems to be working fine for me. I was up late the other night watching a show on Netflix when I heard an unfamiliar car exhaust in my cul-de-sac. I paused the show and looked out the living room window to see some people in by circle looking in car windows while walking down the sidewalk. The unfamiliar car was going the same speed as them, and staying close. I used the app to flash my truck's lights without sounding the alarm. When they noticed the lights flashing they panicked and jumped in the car and left. I found out later the flashing lights activated my security camera at the garage door (video has since been shared with police and private security we have patrolling the community). That new feature in the updated app probably saved somebody from getting their car broken into. Since the car and people were across the circle they hadn't got to the point where my camera is activated. We have an island in the middle you have to drive around. There's 8 houses in my cul-de-sac, and they'd only made it to house #3 when I noticed them. Note to thieves: Don't come with a car with loud aftermarket exhaust if you want to remain invisible when committing crimes Note #2 to thieves: Don't steal from a military community. It's a knob to turn. Same knob for tow/haul mode. Turn left for tow/haul, turn right for sport, offroad, snow, or normal. Not all trucks have these options. Not all trucks with this option will have all these features. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

You need both harnesses. Electrical for 2019 and 2020 is not the same, so I don't believe this thread will help you. You're mirrors aren't available for 2019 trucks because of the electrical system differences. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I didn't own a Tundra, but seriously considered a TRD Pro at time of purchase. The interior of the Tundra is dated, and it shows. It lacks features that most truck owners don't even think about because it's assumed the truck has it. Look under the rear seat for storage. Zero in a Tundra. Lots of space, and GM has a few options for boxes/bins. The worst mpg GM has is better than the best Toyota can offer. If you want the diesel AT4, get it. Toyota will never be able to compete with it. However, understand it is not an exciting powertrain. It works, and it works very well. It will get done what you want it to. However, for a few dollars, and smiles, more, there is the 6.2 V8. Toyota won't compete with that engine when they debut the next generation Tundra. The 6.2 makes the same torque as the diesel, but it's advantage in the upper end with horsepower gives it the win (277 vs 420) for passing and climbing hills. I have a Trail Boss LT (same as AT4) (with the 6.2). I love the suspension setup. It feels and drives like a truck should, imo. Everything else seems soft and cushy like a rwd car (go drive a Charger RT for comparison). If you want a TRUCK, Trail Boss or AT4 are the way to go. You stated you want a long box. That is not an option on a Trail Boss or AT4, and not an option on any truck with a crew cab regardless of trim level. GM has 3 bed lengths. Short is 5'9"; Standard is 6'6"; Long is 8'. With a crew cab you can get short and standard. The bed are about 6' wide, so the short bed is wider than it is long. The bed are also really tall. You will need to climb into the truck or stand on the tire to get anything out of the bed. Lastly, you said you tow often. Beware of the multipro tailgate. It's useful, but open it the wrong way and it'll get damaged by the hitch. Don't open the upper portion with a ball and mount in the hitch. There is an aftermarket help for this, but I'll leave that up to you to search. I'm glad I went with Chevy over the Toyota, and don't regret it one bit. I worked in auto parts, and often supplied the dealerships near me. I'd make a weekly run to do inevitable checks and replenishment at dealers. I have a good idea what the actual cost of parts are versus what the markup is. I'll give you a clue. There's no way in hell your going to be able to buy the parts as cheaply as the dealer is. On top of that, the dealer marks up the part 70% gross so they can bet 40% profit. Most parts retail businesses will mark the product 30%-40% to make a sufficient profit. Imo, "stealership" is the correct term. As an example, look at the GM Performance CAI. It's made by K&N. The difference is, GM has a tune with theirs that makes it 50 state compliant. GM says the air filter needs to be replaced every 20k miles. K&N says their filter will last 1 million miles with proper care and cleaning. Cost for the filter alone with K&N is $59.99. I found it on Rock Auto for $46.79 by using GM part 84428120 (also cross reference to AC Delco A5000C). Cost of the filter through a dealership is $117.87 (list price, which they love to charge). That's big enough to forgo the hotel, too. Just mount some fold up beds to the walls. I could use an outdoor shower, and charcoal grill every meal. My wife would not support this. 6×8 might be a bit overkill. Maybe a 4×6? Either way, I have 1 big issue that creates. Neighborhood won't allow trailers to be stored on the property. Yay, military housing (/sarcasm). I've been on the list for trailer storage at a nearby base since February. When I got on the list I was told it was about 5 months wait. Still gotta figure out what to do with the wife though. The dog normally rides shotgun, and is rather have him there.
