  2. For my Silverado I had the Chevy accessory mudflaps installed, and they are more than adequate for the stock 33" tires that came on my LT, plenty wide and do a great job of controlling any thing from splashing upon my truck.
  3. I assume you mean will the factory brake controller in your truck work with the 5th wheel's electric brakes. If so, the answer is yes. That also assumes you have the appropriate 5th wheel connectors on your truck.

  7. Have you read the owner's manual, specifically the "Infotainment System" manual that came with your truck (it came with two manuals)? The answer to your question is found on page 16 of my manual for a 2020 Silverado.

  9. I tried jumping up into the bed when I first got the truck, and it didn't end well. Like you I now use the embedded steps on the corners of the bumper.
  10. This bushing on my truck, as I assume on most owners's trucks, is not proving to be an issue, in spite of being exercised numerous times every day. It sounds like their is a unique set of stresses on some trucks' bushings, yours included, that is causing this failure. Hopefully someone else can share some insight as to what might be the cause. I noticed in the video the gentlemen who was having numerous incidents of this bushing's failure was relying on this bushing to slow his tailgate's release to the full-open position without using his hand to control its drop, which for his truck I don't belief was GM's intent, unlike our model trucks with the controlled-opening feature that I don't believe was a feature on his truck. I wonder if his reliance on the bushing to slow the tailgate's opening as he demonstrated toward the end of the video (without controlling the drop by hand) didn't contribute to the numerous failures he experienced.
  11. Where do you place a jack stand in the front? If I use a bottle jack at the designated lift point as prescribed by the manufacturer, can I place a jack stand to the rear of that point without damaging the truck?
  12. Another option would be to replace them with the standard, non-towing mirrors. When I bought my 2020 I wanted the towing mirrors, but there wasn't a truck with them available, so I ended up purchasing some custom fit mirror extensions designed for the Silverado 1500 that slide on and work great for when I tow my travel trailer. They go on and come off quickly, and allow me to park the truck in the garage (not with them on, however), which like you, I wouldn't be able to do without the towing mirrors being folded back. Now, if I towed everyday that would be different, but I don't. I also don't like the large blind spot created by the towing mirrors, and I personally prefer the look of the standard mirrors.
  13. I'd recommend you hook your truck up to another trailer if a friend/neighbor has one to see if the problem replicates itself. That would at least tell you it's a TV issue or a trailer issue. I pull a travel trailer with full LEDs and have zero issues. And you are correct, the pulsing of the lights every ten seconds or so is normal as the trailer detection feature "checks" to see if you still have a trailer back there, though it's a little weird to see that for the first time as you're walking back out to your rig in the Walmart parking lot and see that from a distance.

I'm sure the experts will chime in, but if the gauge showed zero pressure along with the CEL, I'd be concerned about an oil pump failure being the culprit, in which case I wouldn't recommend driving it. Having said that, if the oil pump had failed I would of thought you would have had other issues in the 100kms you put on it with that condition, so hopefully it's just a bad gauge or sending unit.
  15. Are you using the OEM flat four connector on your truck? If so, than the issue is probably with the trailer and not the truck. If possible I'd recommend finding a neighbor or friend with a trailer and seeing if the problem is duplicated on their trailer. As you are probably well aware, assuming it's not an issue with the tow vehicle, wiring issues on a trailer are more often than not a grounding issue somewhere on the trailer.
  16. I installed the Putco bed rails on my 2020 LT and they installed fine, and just as the instructions show. Mine do not crush the plastic bed cap as both the front and rear anchor points grip the metal portion of the bed sides, albeit differently in the front versus the rear, securely. The only issue I encountered was I installed them after I had installed an Undercover Ultra-Flex tri-fold hard tonneau cover. The cover's side rails intruded slightly, and I do mean slightly, into a fraction of the space where the base of the Putco bed rails anchor plates sit on the bed rail caps, but it's hardly noticeable, and doesn't affect the sturdiness of the bed rails one bit. As a side note, the bed rails I installed were from the dealership, but were a slightly different style than the ones you installed. The front anchor points use tension on a rubber block (make sure you use the correct length bolts - on this point I found the instructions to be a tad confusing - shorter bolts are used on the front anchor points), and in the back there was a bracket affixed to a bolt that goes through an access hole in the side of the bed.
  17. For towing a trailer at those speeds I'd be more concerned with the speed rating of the trailer's tires.

I noticed several months ago this accessory had disappeared off of the my.chevrolet.com website as an available accessory for my 2020 5.3L, though it was a listed accessory in July of 2020 when I bought the truck. Gmpartsdirect.com is now showing this intake for both the 5.3L and the 6.2L as discontinued (gmpartsonline.net is still showing it available), but several months ago my dealership was able to still order one. Not knowing how long the replacement filters will be available, even though it's going to be another eighteen or so months or so before I'll need to replace it, I went ahead and ordered one to put on the shelf. Somewhere I read that K&N manufactured these intakes, assuming that's the case then they probably have a dry filter that will fit.
  19. Thanks for the help. I was able to remove them per your instructions. I noticed on the driver's side the fuses are three-prong, which I've not seen before. Haven't yet popped off the passenger side fuse cover, but I'm hoping they aren't all like that. I intended to use a Garmin hardwire kit to power my dash cam, but the hardwire kit only came with the two prong fuse adapters (or whatever you call them), specifically the heated steering wheel fuse in slot #25 was the one I was going to tap into, but if they are all three prong I guess I'll be returning the wiring kit.
  20. I'm sure this is simple to do, but before I break something, just how do the fuse covers on the ends of the dash come off? The owner's manual doesn't say how, and I'm reluctant to use too much force in the wrong manner for fear of possibly breaking a mounting tab. They are on pretty snug and there's no play in mine that might hint as to how they come off. Thanks ahead of time for your answers.
  21. There's a related post in the troubleshooting forum posted 20 hours ago titled Battery Voltage meter always reading above 14 volts, or something like that. The poster states the dealer said his battery had a bad cell, which was also why his Auto Stop/Start feature wasn't working, and replacing the battery fixed that issue. Just a thought to consider for the OP of this thread.
  22. Well, I can only attest to what happened to my truck, and that is the November update is what was applied to my truck last week. Matter of fact, it's also the only OTA update my truck has applied since I purchased it last July.

  25. Not knowing exactly which model from Undercover you got, I assume it has two latches, one on each side in the back. It appears from your photos that the left latch is not engaged with the left side rail installed to hold the cover. Are both latches engaged in your pictures? If a latch isn't engaged on one side, that side will appear to be riding up higher than the other. The only thing I don't like about this cover, and it's a minor gripe, is the larger-than-I-would-like gap between the cover and the top of the tailgate. You could easily open the cover with a wire coat hanger, or something similar.
