2022 Silverado Trail Boss Squeal/ping
Robby James replied to JoshRM's topic in 2019-2021 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Dealers seem to have the stupidest workers of all, the idiots couldn't even tighten down an oil filter on my first oil change I drove it home and went inside for the night while it dripped oil all over my new concrete. I have another story for the next time as well........... Good luck with . -

2013 GMC Yukon Denail 6.2L Stuck Lifter
Robby James replied to Erick C.'s topic in Hybrids, XFE, & Active Fuel Management
Send the ecu in to get the AFM delete done or use a Range etc.......... it is easy enough to modify the intake etc so that oil cannot stop flowing to any lifters, I did this fix on my 2013 5.3 in just a few hours, not counting downtime for the ecu to be returned to me. I can link the entire repair and where I had ecu done if you wish LMK. -
You are correct Trans is locked the video states that the DFM alterations is what makes the tranny shift differently it is stated by the guy that does the dyno stuff.
-
It looks like under a grand if you use one of the "boxed" tunes from the Predator, not as good as a dyno for your truck only but should be pretty good. My thought Is buy an ECM for around $250 and keep the factory one for any issues that may arise add the $600 ish for the Module and VOILA

Any updates on this?
-
Yes on the tire size calibration, however because throttle sensitivity can be adjusted easily you likely would lose MPG from having too much fun TBH

Pulsar LT is the only option other than an ECU swap and tune, a little expensive if you don't have a bunch of extra truck money. The Pulsar will drop DFM/Auto start and can also adjust speedo for your tire swap amongst other things.

2021 Silverado 6.2 rough idle ?

Puddle of petrol pics on garage floor...lol Of course they could not replicate leak on rack so I had to mention wife and son having headaches from the gas smell and that theybetter find something to fix. Praying this was the culprit, post is below yours. -
2021 Silverado 6.2 rough idle ?

Mine idles like that, I am just getting the high pressure fuel pump replaced under warranty and am hoping this resolves the issue, but I doubt it. -

Gents, my wife called me and stated the truck smells like gas...............I assumed she was following an old jalopy and was getting his fumes but alas it was indeed our truck. Smelled awful and showed no visible leak anywhere that I could find with it up on ramps running or not, I crawled all around like a monkey and shined my light everywhere, traced the lines from the tank clear up behind transmission housing up against firewall and found no evidence of any leaks etc. Next day remote started it and let it sit for 10 mins or so and went out to check it out and it had a delightful pool of gas about 5" in diameter underneath it. I was not dressed appropriately for another crawl around unfortunately but moved it out of the way and drove my 5100 mile museum piece 2017 instead for the day Took it to the dealer and of course he could not get it to leak for the life of them for 2 days. I dug around and found this and gave it to them and they are now conducting this repair, I thought it reads that this truck should never have been sold without this repair having been done as it was purchased by me in October of last year so 2020. Anyway hope it helps speed things up if anyone else gets the gas smell in the cab mystery. Yes I know there is a TSB sub forum and this will go there as well, I could not find it over there myself but it may be somewhere. High pressure fuel pump. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2019/RCSB-19V837-8595.pdf Cheers

Isn't it not tuneable until I drop the 4k to get ecu swap?

Good info as I am on the edge of catch can or not, this helps but does anyone/everyone have a slighty rough idle at stop lights occasionally? I thought that the catch can gurus are saying the device will cure this issue? Oh yeah 2020 with a 6.2 liter Thanks

I would try and get it fixed cash out of pocket with no VIN being reported to the insurance co UNLESS you plan on keeping it forever as the hit it takes on the carfax can kick your butt on the resale plus the claim on your insurance. Just my experience I have had. Great job manning up and posting this.

Get the front and rear parking sensors...lol I have to park downtown sometimes and I do not want to damage my truck or the other vehicles either, no big metal chrome bumpers on most vehicles these days. 2020 RST without them is a Biotch. Leather or as mentioned above good seat covers, cloth stains easily and with kids it could be a mess after a few years.

You can buy a fob on ebay and have your dealer flash the BCM to get your remote start working. Did you try the window down alarm test? Check the codes on the sticker inside your glove box it should tell you what is ACTUALLY on the truck. I would not add any alarms or remote starters to a new truck, I have a partnership in a used car dealership thus we buy hundreds of cars annually those with aftermarket stereos, alarms and gizmo add ons inherently have more issues than those that don't. Just my 2 cents some will want to argue but splicing up your factory harness is a bad move.

SOLD thanks

Looks like it could be a great deal potentially but my truck is a 2020 so won't fit. No affiliation etc but thought one of you guys could use it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203591372680?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200818142055%26meid%3D02d15dd696ac4059969dbb2880718e6e%26pid%3D101113%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D384107374113%26itm%3D203591372680%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2563228%26algv%3DDefaultOrganicWeb&_trksid=p2563228.c101113.m2108Cheers.

Gents I just rode in my buddys 2017 LTZ with leather seats and they are way more comfortable than my 2020 leather seats, I came from an Escalade so these seats really do suck to the point where it is the one thing that makes me want to sell the truck as we take really long drives in it.(8 hrs plus sometimes) Will the seats out of a 2017 LTZ or High Country bolt right in? Are the High Country more comfortable seats like the LTZ or are they just nicer looking leather? I actually am really disappointed in these crappy seats in such an expensive truck. Thanks in advance guys
