  1. I have a 21 with the 6.2 and have hit 112 NUMEROUS times so the driveshaft thing is BS on the T1 trucks.
  2. Unless you're tuned it won't matter anyways since it's electronically limited to 112mph.
  3. GM went away from the specific auto track transfer case fluid? When I had my 2008 Avalanche with auto-track it required specific fluid different than that of just a standard 4x4 transfer case.
  4. Put them on a battery tender every couple months to get them refreshed and topped off. I have a few different "Smart chargers" that cycle the batteries and vary charge voltage until it hits 100% charge. I bought a battery jump pack from Walmart years ago for an ex girlfriend. I think it is their Everstart brand. It works when it feels like it. I keep a set of heavy gauge long jumper cables in the truck as well. Not just for me, but if I need to help someone else.
  5. Youtube Channel I Do Cars finally got a 2.7L Turbomax engine to tear down with 146K miles on it.
  6. That's surprising since most I have seen blow up in the 30k mile range. RIGHT where I happen to be at almost 35K currently.
  7. Where are you shipping it to? I'm in Michigan and shipping is $10.00
  8. On the T1's it's a square block that looks like a GPS antenna on the center of the dash. Make sure something's not covering it or got spilled on it since it's directly behind the little storage recess on the dash.
  9. I've heard a number of issues with fuel injectors going bad on the 6.2's.
  10. I haven't heard of that but I did find these nifty cam lock alignment gears to keep the alignment in place. https://teamblacklake.myshopify.com/products/align-lock
  11. If you're an offroader and want to lock in your alignment, I found these a long time ago. I haven't bought them and not sure if I would since I don't have any real offroad trails near me in Michigan. https://teamblacklake.myshopify.com/products/align-lock
  12. The dealer I bought my truck from wouldn't even program my GM accessories fog lights because I didn't buy the kit from them, even though I have the code to install that came with the kit.
  13. So basically it's a waste of time and money trying to make this happen in Global B trucks since dealers won't touch it.
  14. Good luck finding anybody to do it. What is the point of WAMS if they're not doing the programming required now?
  15. I guess that's hopeful news that it did detect something before failure since I haven't heard that anywhere else yet.
  16. The alternator is computer controlled and charging goes on and off based on needs and battery voltage. It's not always putting out a constant voltage. It's in the owners manual. If you use the auto-stop-start deal that has always been a concern that that will wear out the starter faster over time constantly restarting the engine vs just leaving it running.
  17. I bought a lower air dam replacement with a winch mount but it mounts the winch bottom forward instead of down and the spool release can't be clocked on the Rough Country winch. I didn't know either until the parts showed up. Looking for something different. Guessing I'm going to have to save my pennies and get the Rough Country lower air dam with winch mount like I originally wanted. That's what I get for trying to get the similar thing for under $400 instead of $800!
  18. Does that have a winch mounting provision?
  19. Only towards you because your posts are SO outlandish and childish sounding.
  20. Depends what your factory wheels are. 17's, 18's or 20's? And how wide. Needs to be at least 8.5" wide for a 12.50 wide tire.
  21. OK Chicken Little. You need to learn better defensive driving. I see you live in CA so you have no clue what winter driving is like in REAL weather conditions. Those Alenzas are garbage. I've been in every manner of out of control at some point since I started driving at 16 in a 71 Pontiac Safari wagon with bias plies and I'm 51 now.
  22. Do you own stock in a tinfoil hat company? The truck has ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING, so you're not going to lose steering. It also will not effect the brakes per GMs FAQ's about engine failures.
  23. How is someone going to DIE if the engine stops running????
  24. I thought I read that the engine swap was a cab off procedure.
  25. It was available on my Custom Trail Boss when I ordered it in 2021. You are correct it was a $225 option.
