  1. Glad to see the official warranty extension and not just hearsay in internet articles. I special ordered my truck and planned to keep it till as long as possible. This makes me much more comfortable in keeping it even though I had an extended warranty for 7 years and 100K miles I bought when I bought the truck.
  2. There aren't any hog rings in the covers. There's plastic clips that snap into inserts in the foam. The rest is zippers or velcro holding the pieces on. This is from my personal experience stripping a 22 power driver seat that I believe was a pre-refresh. The cloth looked identical to my stock seat in my 2021 Custom. I pulled the cover to put leather on from Alea.

  4. The 22.5 trucks are Global B architecture and I don't think these kits work for those. LT trims and above already have the big fancy screens.
  5. Another L87 teardown that was verified to be in the date range of the recall motors. https://youtu.be/ohGx0xIanNY?feature=shared
  6. More explanation on how thicker oil helps this issue:
  7. Roll up soft tonneau cover with the straps to hold it rolled up? Need more info on what you've got going on in the bed. Scratches don't just happen from air. Something has to hit it or rub on it.
  8. Remote start has nothing to do with Onstar unless you're using the app to start it. Keyfob remote start is via radio frequency.
  9. There was a service bulletin from quite a while ago for failed fuel injectors causing misfires.
  10. I've run mine to 112 countless times with zero issues. 31K miles and still going strong. Took it to a test and tune and ran about a dozen passes trying various launches, no issues. Best of 14.2 in the 1/4.
  11. Yeah I have stick on gloss black covers for the door handles. I would like either gloss black or color matched but like you said, they are stupid expensive vs the $20 stick on covers!
  12. It doesn't matter. It's just shorting the positive and negative through wire embedded in the mirror to create heat. You can actually pop the mirror caps off without disassembling the mirrors. I disassembled mine the first time to go from textured black to gloss black. I picked up some color matched ones and replaced them without disassembling anything.
  13. Ugh! GM now saying 0W40 could void your warranty, even though they are telling you to switch to it ONLY if your truck is one of the effected ones! https://gmauthority.com/blog/2025/05/should-you-use-0w-40-oil-in-your-non-recalled-gm-6-2l-l87-engine/
  14. The sensor is in a fixed position. If the block or crank wasn't machined at a perpendicular angle to the sensor, it WILL read varying positions. There should also be an acceptable vs unacceptable range the sensor reads to determine bearing wear.
  15. Cheaper exchange rate makes them more profit to bring them in from Canada. I had a 2008 Avalanche that had 95K when I bought it and after owning it I found it was from Canada and had been shipped around the Canadian side then the Detroit, Michigan area before ending up over near Grand Rapids Michigan. There was a lot of sketchy chassis rust and wiring corrosion. If it's only been there a couple years, probably not a big issue. There were a lot of chip shortage issues in 21 and 22 and vehicles stuck "in transit" status waiting for chips before they could be shipped.
  16. OK. It was my understanding it was slightly larger to gain the extra .5" lift in the rear.
  17. The GM accessories 2" lift is essential the Trail Boss lift in kit form. That will retain GM warranty. What tires do you currently have? 275/60/20's are 33" tires. Anything other than that will technically void the warranty, depending how picky your dealer is about it.
  18. The ZR2 leaf springs have a softer spring rate to match with the DSSV dampeners. You will lose some towing and payload capacity. Check the differences on GM's site of an RST vs ZR2 towing and load capacities. There is no lift with the ZR2 springs. I think the block is a 2.5" vs 2" on the Trail Boss.
  19. I REALLY wish you'd stop posting old school WRONG information.
  20. Did the first oil change on mine at around 1,000 miles as well. I wanted to change it at 500 but was busy and didn't have time to until 1K miles. I also run a magnet on the bottom of the oil filter and it has caught quite a lot of metallic particles the last 2 oil changes. I'm at 31K currently and change it at 6K miles.
  21. Guess nobody watched the teardown video posted earlier. It was mentioned the crank journal wasn't machined straight so bearings were at an angle and seized in some cases in as few as 100 miles. The teardown was of an 8K mile engine.
  22. I see this was posted as to why this doesn't apply to 2025 6.2's https://gmauthority.com/blog/2025/04/heres-why-gm-6-2l-v8-recall-doesnt-apply-to-2025-model-year-vehicles/
  23. In the UAE they offer the regular cab short box Silverado with the TrailBoss trim which has the 2" lifted suspension. GM offers this lift kit as an accessory kit. There should be no reason it wouldn't fit. Same drivetrain. Also remote start is offered as a GM accessory option for the base trucks that didn't come with it. Time to find a smarter dealer/parts person.
  24. It doesn't have any of the AEV factory available options on it, so not too rare. It's more rare than the Silverado ZR2, but just depends if someone prefers a GMC over a Chevy. It's only worth what the guy that wants it more than the next guy is willing to pay for it.
  25. Guess you forgot about the VW diesel scandal. Passed emissions tests but if they tested for other than the EXACT SPECIFIC tests, they put out WAY more emissions than they were supposed to!
