  1. The rear storage seat and large plastic underseat bin is an OPTION. I don't believe it was ever standard on LT.
  2. $400 WITH the console??? Must have been stolen! The console ALONE normally sells for about $1200 complete.
  3. The app says the dealer will inspect and as necessary replace the engine. The letter said there was an engine recall but no status as of yet. Why am I getting two different stories and the dealer says GM hasn't even told them what to do yet!
  4. Why is it your dealership knows what to do and how to do it, but the dealer I bought my truck from and is the largest Chevy dealer in west Michigan doesn't have any instruction from GM on what to do and I have to just wait?
  5. Gross...1988 called and wants their bug deflector back! The AVS skin is WAY cleaner. On my Trail Boss with the black front end it blends in nicely. https://huskyliners.com/p/avs-bugflector-ii-bug-shield/?srsltid=AfmBOoqC4Toyv6f401ast8zVAxk72OA61KaEo31nNJfejVOPVIIMMQcW
  6. $80? I paid $25 for my gloss black covers and have been on since I bought the truck in May of 2021 and they look fine still.
  7. I guess your vehicles don't mean anything to you and you don't care if someone violates you and your personal property.
  8. Not just a GM thing. Thieves have been doing this with Mopar products as well. Best advice is to keep the keys away from the front door or garage and put them in a Faraday bag so the thieves can't intercept the signal and replay it to the vehicle.
  9. All Mobil 1 0W40 is Dexos R certified per GM's website: https://www.gmdexos.com/brands/dexosr/index.html
  10. You're not replacing the springs, just adding blocks. Honestly just add a shock extender with the 2" block and keep the same shocks and it's all still the same except the height. Blocks DO NOT change spring rate.
  11. I still don't understand why you can't add it to the max towing truck. It's only adding a lift block in the rear and not changing the spring rate. Different rated shocks maybe?
  12. Wouldn't be a fuse if the horn still blows when locking. I would think a connector is loose inside the wheel.
  13. Maybe I'll try to slap mine back in and see if it works if I look for USB. I think I was expecting SD Card to appear.
  14. I don't know how you ever got it to work. I bought one with the SD card before you did and it never recognized any SD card I tried so I swapped back to my original USB A & C piece. I tossed the SD card one in my tool box I think.
  15. I'm told Trail Boss control arms are the same as standard Silverado ones. They both have the same part number.
  16. If it's a Z71 truck the Ranchos are stock. Ball joints seem to be a known weakness in these trucks. I'm wondering if they had a lift in it previously and took it off. Stock I haven't seen them break. Generally it's when they're lifted or leveled that it causes the ball joints to fail.
  17. Full Grain is the actual full leather hide vs the bonded leather previously talked about. Bonded leather doesn't last as well as full grain. I bought some aftermarket Alea seat covers and they claim they are Italian leather. They don't feel like it. I haven't gotten them installed yet either. As for leather care, I was told the BEST treatment for leather is mink oil. Some cleaners I have bought have it in it, but I was at my local Menards in the cleaning products section and they had leather cleaners and conditioners and actually had mink oil bottles there.
  18. Rough Country has a nice looking piece that replaces the plastic and has a bull guard that tucks close to the bumper. It's what has been on my wish list for quite a while. Mazzulla also has a nice piece. Both require new fog lights. The Rough Country piece includes them.
  19. Recall letter wasn't going to be mailed out until June 9th per info previously in this thread. It is also a staged roll out so not everyone will receive it at the same time so as not to overwhelm the dealers.
  20. Trail Bosses with the 18" tires are electronically limited to 98mph due to tire rating. The 20" wheel option bumps the limiter up to 112mph because of the S speed rated tires.
  21. Your first oil change is free through Chevrolet. I don't know if they'll do it that early though. I changed mine at 1000 miles myself. They would put whatever is deemed necessary in it. Currently it's still 0W20 unless they've done the recall check and determined your engine is OK and should be switched to 0W40.
  22. Saw on a YouTube video with some commenters saying after they had their truck tested at the dealer and the oil was changed and the picoscope test performed successfully that in the My Chevrolet app their warranty coverage was updated to show the 10 year 150K mile engine warranty in effect. I checked after I read this and it just shows the recall open for my truck. Haven't been to the dealer or tried to call them yet.
  23. The bearing failure runs debris through the ENTIRE engine and oil cooler. That's why the ENTIRE engine and radiator and hoses get replaced for this failure. The lifter failure is a totally different issue with faulty lifters. You can replace lifters and not need to replace the entire engine as the lifters stop rolling and freeze up. It may require a new cam if the frozen lifter is run long enough to damage the cam lobes. It creates nowhere near the debris the smoked bearings do.
  24. It is an ENTIRE engine replacement. The lifter failure is a SEPARATE issue NOT covered by this warranty. If it fails due to connecting rod/crank/bearing failure the ENTIRE engine gets replaced NOT the short block.
  25. Did you READ the bulletin posted? It covers EXACTLY the same as what the replace engine bulletin covers, the COMPLETE engine and related accessories, NOT the short block.
