  1. No lip. That lip is strictly to mount the light. From everyone I've heard that's had it, it causes the hood to vibrate at higher speeds.
  2. I'm not sure the old ones kept many bugs off the windshield either! I have the AVS Aeroskin. I got it to protect the paint on the hood since I live in Michigan with lots of crud and salt getting thrown up in winter. Being the hood is aluminum, the salt will corrode it and get under the paint and make it flake off if not kept touched up.
  3. Look for Micro 2 fuse taps.
  4. The 10 speeds were a joint venture between GM and Ford but they each did their own electronic tuning. They are mostly the same but do have a few unique parts to them. I knew all about them when they initially came out but have since forgotten most of it.
  5. There's the ZR2 bumper and also the ZR2 AEV Bison bumper. I don't believe the skid plate requires the AEV Bison bumper, but it DOES require the ZR2 bumper. That is unique to the ZR2 as is the grill and I believe side plates for the fender. You'd have to do a full ZR2 front end swap. There are a couple aftermarket skid plates for regular Silverados.
  6. From what I have read of those with a 22.5 refresh truck, they DO NOT have the mirror harness in the headliner. With the Global B electrical architecture change, they dropped that part of the wiring harness for some reason.
  7. I don't know what wire it is, but there is a constant power wire for the OEM Homelink console. You have fuse boxes on either end of the dash so you can check those for constant power to tap into.
  8. Not stock on any Silverado or Sierra. There is a couple aftermarket options you can install that will lock out the upper gate if a hitch is installed.
  9. I added a homelink console to mine. It just plugs in place of the stock one. Mine has the rear slider controls which my truck doesn't have. I actually bought two consoles. I didn't realize the console wasn't black when I bought the first one. I installed it and later found the light gray one and bought that and replaced it.
  10. I didn't want to pay for an extended warranty either but decided to so it was covered during the length of the loan and even on a Custom trim level 2021 there's tons of electrical junk that can go wrong. I've been even more leery of the refresh trucks and the Global B architecture and the fancy Google screens that seem to lock up a lot from threads I've seen.
  11. This is a great video to help understand backspacing and offset:
  12. I initially wanted the Motorola dongle, but found out there's no way to update it so it is what it is and nothing for the future. I bought AAWireless dongle and it has software and firmware updates pretty regularly and haven't had any issues with it. The original version was about $100 when it came out when I bought it a few months after having my truck. They've now got a second version and it's only $65! https://www.aawireless.io/en/products/aawireless-two
  13. Those wheels look a million times better than what came on it when you got it!
  14. The wires are there above the headliner. I swapped the ones in my 2021 Trail Boss Custom for lighted ones I found on ebay. Direct plug in. I also found an OEM auto dim mirror for my truck on ebay and found the plug glued to the roof and was a direct plug in.
  15. I don't believe it's physically possible due to the shape difference in the back of the cab. Check out this thread with the spoiler removed from the cab:
  16. NO, they are VIN progammed and need to be "re greened" as it's called to work in a different truck.
  17. The temperature sensor is located on the bottom of the passenger rear view mirror.
  18. I haven't even lifted my truck yet! Was unemployed for a year and a half and took a nearly 50% pay cut so I haven't had funds to buy the finishing components I wanted.
  19. You mentioned NOTHING about going from a 60 to a 65, only 275 to 285.
  20. 285 is the WIDTH, not the height. 60 is the percent of the width that the sidewall height is. 20 is the rim diameter.
  21. No it doesn't peel off. It's manufactured as one piece. The pieces you are talking about are overlays that stick over top of the existing piece. I did find on ebay complete replacement pieces that aren't GM and are about $30 for a set.
  22. What did you do to make it work? What year and trim level is your truck?
  23. The half year makes ALL the difference. They changed the computer system from Global A to Global B with the refresh in 22.5.
  24. I had also test fit a set of 14-18 18" wheels and the same spacer worked to clear the caliper. Did they try a smaller spacer or just went with that large just because that's what they guessed would work?
  25. 1/4" or 5mm. I picked up a set of slip on billet machined spacers on ebay for about $25. I have aftermarket wheels I had on my 08 Avalanche that hit the caliper. The 5mm spacer resolved that issue.
