  1. Result looks good but the install looks like ass. Why all the black duct tape and the massive screws and huge washers at the ends?
  2. Why did you lift it in the first place? You won't need the shim if you remove the block. Did they install longer shocks when they did the lift? You might be able to get away with keeping what's on there unless they're bottoming out.
  3. Did you have the steering cranked all the way to the left or right when you tried to start it? I've heard this is an issue.
  4. There is no separate valve. It's built into the valve cover. Neither of those codes have anything to do with no oil. PCV is NOT going to be the issue if you lost all oil in a few days.
  5. This one looks to only have some scratches. Others I ran across were dented or smashed in some way. Found a whole tailgate for about $2K plus shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285857581706?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=38mvpaguTZy&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=KGxaaEgXQQK&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  6. I don't think you can add it to the refresh trucks. The pre-refresh trucks you can add them, on customs you can add the controls but you need to upgrade the instrument cluster as well.
  7. I've seen a couple of just the upper portion on ebay. I can't remember the price though.
  8. The rearview camera mirror is a TOTALLY different thing than just the backup camera in the tailgate.
  9. No. It turns off 8 seconds after turning it on via the screen button. It is this way from the factory.
  10. What are the dimensions and what holds the lid on? Also, why does the inner left one look different?
  11. It's super easy to trim the liner and remove the storage bin for the GM liner.
  12. I've had Weathertech but prefer the material of the GM ones. It's more rubber and pliable than the stiffer plastic of the Weathertech.
  13. They're hard to press together in the first place and a pain to pull apart when you want to pull them out to clean them, so NO issues just popping up. I have bench seats in the front and they don't move at all.
  14. That's what I was gonna say but decided to keep my mouth shut. You baby it and it's not going to end well. Engines have changed DRAMATICALLY since the 50's-80's when you didn't want to really beat on engines when new. This video has a lot of good info in it:

  17. You're supposed to spray it directly into the throttle body, not the intake air tube. Seafoam has a J hook straw that you hook over the opening of the throttle body and then slip the boot back over it to keep it in place.
  18. I'm guessing you won't get your truck as you ordered it since I had seen the glacier blue color was already built out for the 2024 year. Constraint is usually a supplier issue, but in this case, they've decided to use the 6.2 in the higher trim trucks such as High Country, GMC Denali's and Caddy's.
  19. Find Lake's channel. He has LOTS of good oil info there and testing and results. Been following him for several months now.
  20. Interesting my 21 Custom Trail Boss with the 6.2 short bed has a 9300lb trailer weight rating. I thought the diesel was rated higher than 9K trailer weight.
  21. I found a smaller diameter tubing that fit into the pre-existing drain holes in the bed floor. The new tubing slips inside the stock larger tubing that comes with the Retrax cover. The problem with the side or front holes are they are higher than the drain tubes on the Retrax cover as well as the canister for it covers all these locations.
  22. GM touts it as a load stop, but they forgot to include the piece to lock it UP so it actually STAYS IN PLACE as a load stop. I hauled something in my bed that was a bit shorter than the full length and the pieces shifted and the step folded and let stuff slide around more. I bought the same stop lock you did just for this purpose. I used it for about 60 miles or so when I hauled a ladder that was longer than would fit in the bed with the tailgate closed.
  23. I posted more info on your other thread.
  24. Looks like the refresh version is a pre-order coming 5/22/24 https://ultrabrightlightz.com/collections/z-flash-plugin-module-flasher/products/z-flash-lcm-for-gm?variant=41940097630417
  25. FAQs: How does the Z-Flash BCM Flasher for General Motors Vehicles work? Using diagnostic signals, the Z-Flash Plug and Play Flasher for GM Vehicles tells the vehicle to activate the respective lights using select BCM ports. The flasher module does not rewrite computer code or affect the vehicle in any way. The codes are the same that the dealer could use to diagnose your vehicle through the BCM ports. Will this burn my computer? The Z-Flash Plug and Play Flasher for GM Vehicles does not put out any voltage and will not burn up the computer. It's similar to plugging a USB stick into your PC. Will my brake lights still work? Your brake and turn signals will override the flashing pattern. If the module is active and you hit the brakes or use your turn signal, that function will override. This cannot be disabled as it is an important safety feature. Does this put my vehicle in reverse? The Z-Flash Plug and Play BCM Flasher for GM Vehicles will not change your vehicle's gears. What are the benefits of having a plugin flasher? They are very affordable and a great way to get your POV noticed when responding to emergencies. Plugin flashers are also a great addition if you already have a lighting system in your GM. Plugin flashers require no additional wiring and can be installed in minutes! Will this burn up my bulbs? Like any headlight/taillight flasher it will burn out your bulbs faster than normal. Aftermarket HIDs will burn up very quickly because the ballasts are not intended to flash. Why are my Halogen bulbs not flashing or very dim? Unlike LEDs, Halogen bulbs require a charge up and cool down time. Because of this, it is not possible to flash them as fast as LED bulbs. Is the Z-Flash BCM Plug and Play Flasher for General Motors Vehicles traceable? Once removed, the flasher module does not leave any trace of being installed.
