  1. Lol @ this thread. The Fast and the Furious is a good source for this type of school project. Instead of trying to proves what you read on the internet. You should take a moment and listen to those with hands-on experience.
  2. Turbo the left cylinders and supercharge the right cylinders.
  3. Double A M C O will do it for that price, hint, why insurances quote is so low. Bondo bondo.
  4. What's the reason why you replaced the bumper? Maybe there's a cut on the wires.
  5. Long shot but try the following, clean MAF, clean Throttle body and perform idle relearn with scan tool.
  6. You should start your build thread, trials and errors is what you are pursuing.
  7. Hope it works out for you. To get close to your expectations, you would need to retrofit with better projectors. If you want HID output, you would need HID projectors.
  8. Record another video with your guage, seems related to v4.
  9. Are those oem or aftermarket headlights? The hot spot and poor light output could be due to your projectors and maybe the bulbs are not seated correctly or possibly at a slight angel. Try to adjust the bulbs a little bit to see if that helps. What silveradosid posted is your best bet.
  10. I get what you are trying to do. Please note, all new compressor comes with oil to keep it lube. Some comes with the correct oil type while others do not. It's important that you check as you don't want to mix the two oil together in your system. You probably will end up paying more than the money you're trying to save. Why not just take the parts to the dealer and pay for installation labor, atleast it will be done right. I don't know how much the dealer will charge for a complete system flush but I can only imagine $$$$$$$$
  11. Before the code came up, what was done to the truck? Any mods? Engine tune?
  12. Now that it's dark, take a picture.
  13. Have your receipt for your tires handy. Good luck.
  14. What is the small black and red wire for? Reason asking is, I have a set of wire that look just like that and I don't know if I should just cut it off or not. I will probably never get a camper. I'm assuming it's for the camper.
  15. Since your are replacing all those parts, make sure to use the correct oil. The oil that comes inside the compressor may not be the correct type. Always double check.
  16. You shouldn't have to use any additional sealing liquid. If it's leaking, the leaks would need to be repaired. Two reasons I can think off that would cause freon to leak from compressor; 1, Bad compressor. 2, you have a blockage in your system causing very high pressure.
  17. Well, some dealers, cough cough, Honda/Toyota, cough..*not covid* will notified you via mail multiple times regarding the recall. If it's a recall that could lead to death, they will keep mailing notice and keep CALLING you as well. They won't stop until you declined or it's been remedy.
  18. Just like any vehicle out there. When it's new, still under warranty. People treated like they stole it because most repair will mostly done under warranty... what happen after warranty??? Suddenly wallet starts to get lighter and lighter... now it's no longer a reliable truck. People starts to DEMAND for safety recall even tho it's not even related to safety issue. I'm sure people will say, c'om, I treated like it's my first child, like my first wife... guess what? Its probably someone else first wife now and someone else first child too. What I'm trying to say is, get one with a service history. If the truck has nothing but warranty done, I would walk away, you know they treated like their first wife. If all you see is the normal work done suck as oil change, brake change, tire rotation, etc. You know they treated like their only wife.
  19. I never done a big screen to small but I did small to big and the new HMI was not able to detect the small screen. Might be on a wild goose chase...
  20. I haven't mess with the hvac module so I might be wrong with this question but have you try to reset/relearn calibration on that module?
  21. My guess is, it's probably post #1. That one has two cable connected to it. If you don't look carefully, you'll missed the second cable for sure, everything will look correct with just one cable until you starts poking around.
  22. If the leak just occurred, I say replace only the leaking part(s). All the o-rings should be good because it's still oiled. Oil is to keep all the o-rings from drying up. Compressor should still be good unless you already experiencing issues with compressor. I have a truck, almost 30 years old, still runs on original ac compressor and most o-rings are original. Maybe parts nowadays are not as good as it used too.
  23. I think every vehicle should be perfect in every way since it wasn't born defected, it was built. I guess we lives in a different time now, vehicles should never brake down and if it does then there needs to be a recall. In my personal opinion, GM should definitely recall or buy back my truck because the gas tank kept being empty on a weekly basis or after a few hundred mile of driving. No good, I expect to last the life of my truck.
  24. Seafoam follow by idle relearn.
  25. Unplug all your plugs under the spare tire and blow air in it or let it sit for a few hours before connecting it back in. You must of got water in the plugs.
